  1. BTW, looks like we'll miss Verlander in Detroit next week!
  2. Brett Myers deserves so much more love on the trade market than he's getting. He looks sensational on the mound this season.
  3. Matt Holt knows his stuff, so it's probably true. Assuming it's true, that hurts.
  4. QUOTE (chisoxfan09 @ Jul 28, 2010 -> 02:31 AM) OT Fath, the twinkies just won't go the hell away, little @ss annoying insects that they are!! Twins are a good team that have a fantastic 1-2 combo going in Liriano/Pavano and their hitters are making great contact at the plate. We all knew it wouldn't be easy, but I'm very happy with the ability this team is showing at home.
  5. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jul 28, 2010 -> 02:26 AM) This game was over before it started; Ryan Rowland-Smith is an historically awful pitcher, luckily we did exactly what we were supposed to do and kicked the living s*** out of him. Even for Mr. Pessimism, I was EXTREMELY confident heading into tonight's game.
  6. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jul 28, 2010 -> 02:26 AM) Maybe Viciedo should be starting a lot more? That's about the only negative thing I can take from this game, which is saying something. Great win. Viciedo is just a monster against LHP. He'll get plenty of chances this week to face lefties. The biggest negatives right now with the Sox are that Rios and Quentin are struggling to hit the ball with any authority.
  7. That was fun...pure dominance. We're facing a ton of lefties this week, so be a nice time for Viciedo and Jones to get hot.
  8. QUOTE (longshot7 @ Jul 28, 2010 -> 03:07 AM) just got home from work - why did they take AJ out? Not an injury I hope. He got a hit, and as an act of revenge, the bat decided to slam him. He's out for the next two years. He's fine, we pulled a lot of starters.
  9. Wow, Tigers lose after Miguel Cabrera hits into a 5-4-3 DP with bases loaded down 1 in the 9th.
  10. Pirates are asking for a lot for G. Jones...they wanted Izturis from the Angels for him.
  11. Gavin's numbers over this last 10 starts, including this one, are absolutely sensational. Maybe one of the best stretches by a pitcher in Sox history.
  12. How's the crowd look tonight? And also, at least Seattle will have Felix and Fister facing the Twins. Wouldn't surprise me to see Rowland-Smith pulled from their rotation.
  13. Haha, wow. This team is absolutely sensational at home.
  14. Oh Alexei! And wow, does Rowland-Smith suck. I'll take it after getting King Felix twice.
  15. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 27, 2010 -> 03:24 AM) Uh, no. It's what happens when games are on WCIU. And chat is active

QUOTE (lostfan @ Jul 27, 2010 -> 12:05 AM) No way is half the s*** on the show believable (at the end of Season 1 Danny gets recalled to active duty, and some Marine walks up to the casino in uniform and hands him a piece of paper that says he needs to report in 24 hours, and his assignment is classified, which is completely hokey in real life) and the plots where the bad guys are always caught and punished and the good guys get rewarded is cheesy. But if you don't take it seriously, which you shouldn't, it's just a lot of fun to watch. This show really, really makes me wanna go to Vegas though. Some very attractive females on that show, especially the extras.
  17. Juan and Omar really dominated this game tonight.
  18. Danks has had great command tonight! Huge pitch to Figgins there.
  19. Flash Tizzle died a little tonight
  20. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 27, 2010 -> 02:38 AM) They're all 94 down the pipe. He doesn't look comfortable at all. He was stretching out his right shoulder after the first inning.
  21. Wow, putting Quentin in motion after jamming his ankle is just stupid and dangerous.
