If You Want a Top Prospect
QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 12:21 AM) Do you think the Red Sox would take Danks for Lowell, or do we have to butter them up with Hudson too? What? Is this serious?

2010 MLB Draft Catch All
QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 11:21 PM) I guess our franchise wants to transform into the Baltimore Orioles of the AL Central. I am so glad that we have Lance Broadway III waiting in the wings. Let's just hope whoever we draft doesn't get interviewed by Hawk and Stone and say that he loves to backdoor guys.

2010 MLB Draft Catch All
QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 11:17 PM) Nice two way-player. I can't decide whether i'd want him to pitch or hit. Any thoughts? Sox would probably want him to pitch, but there's some that think he's a first round talent on offense now.

A wild card might be Eibner from Arkansas.

2010 MLB Draft Catch All
QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 11:11 PM) I keep hearing comparisons to Braun and Markakis, his college career has had its ups and downs, but I 'd argue that his ceiling is pretty respectable. And a few injuries this season slowed him down.

2010 MLB Draft Catch All
QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 11:46 PM) I was sold on Brentz, but the more i read and hear, it'll be a pitcher. I'll go Workman. He'll suck. Hopefully someone like Brentz is so high up on their board, they can't pass him up.

2010 MLB Draft Catch All
So who is everyone's prediction? I'm torn between Wojo and Workman, but I think it's going to be Wojo.

Nice location by Jenks. You have to wonder if that game saved some jobs.

QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 09:16 PM) Is it me but doesn't Jenks seem to blow saves during the day...the Pirates and Jays come to mind as the two more recent bad ones ..... day games and the Orioles seem to get him Good post...BTW, I've never seen Jenks make a bad defensive play.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 09:12 PM) I traded him from my fantasy keeper team yesterday...that was a tough pill to swallow... Good decision

Another awful game for Beckham. His swing looked disjointed again.

Jenks time in the 9th! If nothing else, it will be entertaining.

QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 09:01 PM) Get Bobby in the game now....we can't afford to let this game slip away Yeah, cause Jenks is great with the multiple inning save.

Thornton's just not the same right now. He's going to need to mix up his strategy to these hitters that see him 10 times or more a season.

Kearns looks amazing out there. I know a few people wanted the Sox to pursue him this offseason.

QUOTE (joeynach @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 08:54 PM) Yeah so him, KW, the fans, and the media can blame all of the Sox offensive struggles on Kotsay. It was a genius plan. That wasn't the argument you were trying to make. I hear people call up sports radio all the time with these stupid theories. It's a pretty convenient defense mechanism instead of placing blame on the GM or Manager.

QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 08:53 PM) Absolutely not...it's unbelieveable to imagine anytime could screw up the future of BA more than this organization did, but KC found a way to do so. Imagine BA and AR together in the outfield.....it would have been spectacular. Missed cut-offs galore!

QUOTE (joeynach @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 08:50 PM) Sometimes, actually very often, Ozzie does this to show KW, JR, the fans, everyone that "hey look at the donkeys you gave me on the roster". Its like he saying to KW you signed Kotsay and Randy Williams well here they are are for us, unable to do anything productive, especially in crunch time to close games. Its like Ozzie's version of shrugging his shoulders. Oh stop...that's a stupid argument. He got his roster he wants, but he decided to let Kotsay face a LHP. He had a bench full of righties, but he trusted his veteran. After last season, Ozzie specifically told KW he wanted Kotsay to be brought back.

QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 09:49 PM) I just still can't believe we gave up Brian Anderson to get Mark Kotsay......worst trade that KW has ever made. How can anyone say a trade is the worst made after the Swisher debacle...both times?

That a boy Carlos, thanks for making us forget about Kotsay...have enough on my plate today.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 09:46 PM) Ozzie was playing teh numbers. Lefties were hitting .480 against Perez. And Kotsay sucks vs LHP while righties are still hitting over .340 vs Perez

06/06/2010, 1:05 CST, CSN, Mark Buehrle v. Jake Westbrook
Someone tell Hawk and Stone that Kotsay is now 0-10 vs LHP this season. In a year full of terrible managing, that takes the cake.
