  1. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 04:05 AM) The Jenks haters amaze me. He's been the least of our problems this year. Way to go Bobby ... uh, again. Yep, he's been awesome this whole year. I can't believe anyone would dare criticize the World Series hero for being a liability earlier in this year.
  2. Castellanos might be the 2nd best offensive player in this draft after Harper. I'd love that pick.

So is it bad I DVR'd the MTV Music Awards and totally enjoyed it? I don't care who wins the awards, but the production value is pretty good and I give Tom Cruise credit for his dance number.
  4. Z. Cox is falling right now. Having a lefty hitting 3rd baseman ready in about 3 years would really suck, wouldn't it?
  5. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 03:37 AM) Is there a chance in hell Christian Colon slips to the supp. picks or is he a forgone 1st rounder? I've been up and down with him, but it would be really nice to draft a shortstop to build with Beckham. I doubt we pick O'Connor who I know Joe likes alot and I'm starting to jump on the bandwagon too. I would rather us draft a position player this year in the 1st and a pitcher in a stronger draft next year in the 1st, but thats just me. Watched Colon yesterday, and he really impressed me. Sounds like he might go higher than expected. If we want him, have to take him with the 13 pick.
  6. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 04:06 AM) definitely. Nate Robinson really stepped up in the 4th quarter for Boston. Maybe it's me, but every time I watch N-Rob, he's fantastic.
  7. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 04:02 AM) Artest helped them out by going 1-10 or so. He could be the key factor in the series. If he's really on, LA is hard to beat. Vujacic should have got more time for the Lakers, he was doing some good things out there.
  8. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 02:59 AM) I don't know how this old, decrepit ass team does it. Boston hit three jump shots the entire 2nd half, and still won.
  9. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 03:50 AM) So what's the scoop on Stetson Allie? I did read somewhere that he could possibly slip to the 2nd round despite possessing first round talent. It just doesn't appear that he will be able to stick as a starter. Broxton is a pretty easy comparison. All I know is he has an amazing scouting video. I bet he goes towards the end of the first round, with a possibility the Cubs take him if O'Connor goes to the Mets.
  10. Terrible coaching by Rivers sticking with Garnett. Rasheed Wallace has played significantly better than Garnett tonight.
  11. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 01:59 AM) Plus we haven't made a "safe" pick for four years now. Really if you look at it, we have taken safe players (meaning low ceiling college pitchers) only a few times. Thinking back to guys like Fields and Borchard that were projects, Gio and Honel were HS pitchers, throw in Brian Anderson. I know there is Broadway and McCollough, but that is about it. Exactly, it's our starting pitchers we drafted early that were too safe...and it's looking to be that way again this year. Reading the stuff about Loux on ESPN Insider, they basically said he needs work on 3 of his pitches in order to possibly be a mid-rotation starter.
  12. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 01:27 AM) It's looking like a foregone conclusion that one of Wilson/Ranaudo will be available at #13. So Wilson/Ranaudo will be available at #14 as well
  13. SheWill doing his best Jay Cutler impression at the end of the half. Celtics might as well be losing with how disturbed they look after how the 1st half ended.
  14. Kobe with an absolute joke of a game. After having 5 assists in the first quarter, he's not passed the ball once in the second quarter and is complaining even more than usual.
  15. QUOTE (BaseballNick @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 01:40 AM) Mayo's latest mock draft says Barret Loux from Texas A&M. Based on what I've seen, he projected more as a late 1st to mid 2nd, but his stock has risen lately as he's had some strong outings against good talent. 11-2 2.60 ERA 104 IP 75 hits allowed 33 BB 136 Ks .197 BA against Not a fan at all. No plus pitches, as his curve is inconsistent and fastball sits in the 90 mph range. He's also had a lot of injuries in the past.
  16. QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 12:27 AM) Taylor Jungmann vs. Anthony Rendon right now in the Texas/Rice game. Now that's a match-up. 2011 is going to be good. Keith Law was raving about G. Cole last night.
  17. Does Workman throw a 2 seamer? With his 16-2 G/FO ratio last game, I wasn't sure.
  18. QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 12:40 AM) Preview show starts at 5, Nats should be on the clock at 6. CST you're referring to, right?
  19. So does the actual draft start at 5 tomorrow, or is the first pick a little later?
  20. BTW, just told that no Sox scouts were at Deck McGuire's outing last night. Just an FYI
  21. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 11:28 PM) Robbie Aviles has some pretty bad timing just went down with a partial tear of a ligament in his elbow. Max's brother?
  22. QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 11:31 PM) Curve is plus. Some have it as plus-plus. Cutter may have plus potential too. It certainly looked good when I watched him. Workman's 6'5", 225. That's not a durable frame? Durability with the fastball, I meant.
  23. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 11:26 PM) Is that Better? yes, thank you
  24. It would be a lot nicer picking in the 9-10 range instead of 13, especially since the Reds have a lot of the needs we have.
  25. Does Workman even have any plus pitches? At least Wojo has two plus pitches and durability.
