Another BLAST by Beckham. Watching him try to turn on inside pitches is vomit-worthy. Walker's doing an amazing job with his mechanics.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 07:03 PM) Who's brilliant idea was it to put the hockey and basketball games on at the same time tonight? No kidding, while leaving nothing on last night!!

QUOTE (OilCan @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 07:00 PM) Good grief. What has happened to BurlyMon??? It's a case of a finesse pitcher that has no confidence in his stuff/command. Should have seen this coming when he was talking in the offseason about how he knows he's lost a lot of stuff.

Haha, comically bad doesn't even describe this. If people don't lose their job in the next 24 hours, then JR should be f***ing ashamed of himself.

Buehrle trying to get his ERA over 6...yikes!

QUOTE (TitoMB @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 07:58 PM) 100% guarantee Ozzie won't be fired tomorrow. We need Mariotti to start covering this team again so Ozzie will call him a bad name.

Wow, this is one of Buehrle's worst starts I can ever recall. Absolutely pathetic, heartless effort by him. How are more people not booing at the Cell?

The Suggested Moves / Who Goes/Stays thread
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 06:55 PM) Why would you want to do that right now? Cause even if he's struggling, he's a focal point of our starting rotation going forward. Not like we're looking to have a 30 million dollar payroll.

QUOTE (WCSox @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 07:53 PM) If Kenny going into rebuilding mode, I agree. If not, I'm not comfortable with Floyd, Hudson, and an unknown making up 60% of the rotation. But you use some of the money you free up from Buehrle's contract to extend Danks.

85 mph high fastballs down the plate = short outing for Buehrle

PK has been really average scooping balls in the dirt this year. That was a play PK has to stretch more in order to get on the short hop.

Go PK!

The Suggested Moves / Who Goes/Stays thread
Mark Buehrle is the person we need to be trying to trade. Said it before the season, and I'll say it now. There's a ton of miles on that left shoulder of his. I'd be willing for the Sox to include some money when trading him if it meant getting some top prospects.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 07:23 PM) The thing is if they win today they have less of a chance to win on Tuesday. Maybe they would just rather win Tuesday. Make no mistake about it. This is a good ballclub. They just haven't found their stride yet. Haha, I love you!

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 06:22 PM) The idea of Viciedo catching errant Teahen and Ramirez throws isn't so palatable. I think Viciedo/Flowers will need to DH and play the field occasionally, but I'm more and more in favor of trying to retain Konerko at $5-6.5 million per over two years with a club option for 2013. We certainly can't have Josh Kroeger et al there or our attendance will be bottom 3 in the majors. Kroeger sucks

QUOTE (Buehrlesque @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 06:21 PM) What did Stone say? Just no reason for them to challenge Peralta, even though that was void after Duncan's double.

06/06/2010, 1:05 CST, CSN, Mark Buehrle v. Jake Westbrook
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 07:19 PM) He has to have more than 5 to 7 mph separation between the change and fastball in order to be successful. Mark either has to find his fastball, or slow down his change. with that little difference hitters can sit in the middle and still catch up to both. Good observation

06/06/2010, 1:05 CST, CSN, Mark Buehrle v. Jake Westbrook
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 06:18 PM) Buehrle with an ERA now of 5.21, Lord knows what it is since OD. Obviously if he's hovering around 84-86 MPH FB, he's a full 3-5 MPH behind what he used to throw. Javy Vazquez is likely to end today with a lower ERA than Buehrle.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 07:16 PM) Hey! The 2nd out! Probably the longest ball Grudz has hit to right field in a decade.

It's amazing how bad our 3 highest paid starting pitchers and 2 highest paid relievers have been.

Wow Buehrle...keep throwing batting practice. Booing starting already, and Stone is just ripping Buehrle and AJP. FIRE EVERYONE!

Buehrle looks awful again. Fastball at 85 mph and no command of it.
