  1. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 18, 2009 -> 02:58 AM) Thome "quietly" has a .902 OPS, higher than Konerko. Really interesting decisions coming up with Dye and Thome in the off-season. If Dye keeps hitting the way he has, you almost HAVE to exercise his option for 2010...and if Quentin is going to be uncertain going into next year, even more of a priority for KW. You can't see us going after someone like Vladimir Guerrero, even coming off 2-3 "down" seasons and at the back end of his career. As much as we love Dye, his option of 11.5 million I believe is just too much in this market.
  2. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 18, 2009 -> 01:56 AM) oh sure, blame your satellite provider That scoreboard is crazy. I can't stand when they say a game is postponed when it's in a rain delay.
  3. QUOTE (beckham15 @ Jul 18, 2009 -> 01:52 AM) not lookin good the twinkies are up 5-3 batting in the top of 8 It's the 6th
  4. I'm happy we got to him, as that's one of the worst starters I've seen pitch in the last few years. Baltimore fans won't have to put up with his junk for too much longer.
  5. As I quickly go back to look what I said about him earlier tonight.
  6. Thome gets the low fastball, and hits the homer!
  7. Why in the hell is Alexei trying to bunt? He's swinging the bat well, and there's still a lot of time left in this game.
  8. It's amazing how bad the Nationals are. It's the perfect team for the Cubs to start the 2nd half against.
  9. QUOTE (beckham15 @ Jul 18, 2009 -> 02:40 AM) orioles announcer is saying this is where their pitcher gets into trouble I want to see a hit-and-run with Alexei.
  10. That should be it for Danks. Made the big pitch when he had to.
  11. Ugh, his mechanics are just terrible tonight. He has almost his whole back towards the hitter by the time it gets to the plate.
  12. This infield defense is just atrocious. Might be the worst in the AL
  13. Weak grounder by Wise. Oh, and Quentin's "healthy" enough to play in both games of the DH today.
  14. This would be a good time for Wise's first homer of the year.
  15. QUOTE (hometeamfan @ Jul 18, 2009 -> 01:18 AM) thats where AJ was calling them....did you not see him practically standing when Danks threw? Maybe if he was throwing 92 instead of 88, they wouldn't be hitting the fastball so hard. I don't think anyone can argue he's hanging the offspeed pitch too much.
  16. Thankfully gets the out, could have been way worse. This Orioles lineup is quite formidable.
  17. Bases loaded for Markakis. Biggest batter of the game for Danks.
  18. Holy cow, Danks is falling so far off the mound to his right. His velocity is WAY down tonight.
  19. Looks like Wieters was out at first. Alexei made a bad throw to Getz, and that made it harder for him to turn two. Danks just has nothing out there today, as it's now tied.
  20. Haha, Alexei showing absolutely no range to his right. That's a play that 95 pct of shortstops make and get the force. Danks in trouble again.
  21. Danks has hung just about every breaking pitch he's thrown.
  22. Thome can't catch up to anything above his knees now. Hopefully he regains a little bat speed, as it's been diminished since the start of interleague.
