Yep, the sad thing is that if the Cubs start to turn their season around, you know people will say it was due to Zambrano's outburst. This Cubs team makes the 2003 team seem likeable. Zambrano is such a piece of s***, and Bradley's obviously a tool.
Ugh...can't keep just throwing 92 mph fastballs right down the plate. He's a perfect speed for Napoli. I can't believe we didn't let Dotel close this out.

Not a good pitch call by Corky.
That's the pitch Colon goes with whenever he gets 2 strikes on a lefty. He missed his spot by a foot, that's what the problem was.

Did someone say something about Nix's lack of a bat earlier in the thread??
Yep, and I stand by it. Not every individual game should by the final say for whether or not a player is good.

i guess you'd have the same complaint about the rest of the hitters in the league then, given Saunders' 3.12 ERA.
We've had as many good swings tonight as we did yesterday...we're just facing a better pitcher. I couldn't be happier about the focus of our hitters and their approach tonight.

I would rather call up Hebert Perry out of retirement than watch Josh Fields get more at bats on this team.
He's had some of his better ABs the last two days. Definitely better than it was 2 weeks ago.

So the Sox probably would have scored 5 runs if that pitch was called a ball. OK Hawk. I love BA but he fouled the next pitch off and swung and missed the next one after that. Chances are he would have done nothing.
You have to be mentally stronger at the plate than that, especially in that situation.
