  1. QUOTE (TLAK @ May 28, 2009 -> 12:09 AM) It will allow for him to play some games at 3B without benching Dayan Viciedo. And the winner is...TLAK
  2. Not sure if this was accurate, but I heard Weaver's been tougher on the White Sox (1 ER in 4 career starts) than anyone in franchise history.
  3. Yep, the sad thing is that if the Cubs start to turn their season around, you know people will say it was due to Zambrano's outburst. This Cubs team makes the 2003 team seem likeable. Zambrano is such a piece of s***, and Bradley's obviously a tool.
  4. If only Zambrano would have blown out his arm throwing the ball to the warning track.
  5. Great win....maybe the best defensive game I've ever seen from a Sox team.
  6. Ugh...can't keep just throwing 92 mph fastballs right down the plate. He's a perfect speed for Napoli. I can't believe we didn't let Dotel close this out.
  7. 4-2....Linebrink just isn't a closer. Don't worry about it, and don't let the tying run get to the plate.
  8. Excellent block on that pitch by AJ!
  9. Damn, we've failed on a lot of chances with runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs tonight. Anderson with a pretty awful game at the plate.
  10. Some more insurance would sure be nice.
  11. Jenks is under the weather. I think I'd rather have Dotel close.
  12. Damn Pods, you don't have to try and bunt for a hit.
  13. You can't keep walking the #9 hitter. Dotel is warming up, which makes me think Linebrink is hurt.
  14. That pitch on 3-1 was right down the freaking plate.
  15. I wonder if Linebrink is hurt? 2 straight 8th innings he hasn't been used.
  16. Tying run to the plate. Lots of bad pitches being made this inning.
  17. QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 27, 2009 -> 04:55 AM) Not a good pitch call by Corky. That's the pitch Colon goes with whenever he gets 2 strikes on a lefty. He missed his spot by a foot, that's what the problem was.
  18. Damn, Abreu just kills us. That was a really, really bad 0-2 pitch.
  19. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ May 27, 2009 -> 04:45 AM) Did someone say something about Nix's lack of a bat earlier in the thread?? Yep, and I stand by it. Not every individual game should by the final say for whether or not a player is good.
  20. QUOTE (Reddy @ May 27, 2009 -> 04:41 AM) i guess you'd have the same complaint about the rest of the hitters in the league then, given Saunders' 3.12 ERA. We've had as many good swings tonight as we did yesterday...we're just facing a better pitcher. I couldn't be happier about the focus of our hitters and their approach tonight.
  21. QUOTE (JDsDirtySox @ May 27, 2009 -> 04:38 AM) I would rather call up Hebert Perry out of retirement than watch Josh Fields get more at bats on this team. He's had some of his better ABs the last two days. Definitely better than it was 2 weeks ago.
  22. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 27, 2009 -> 04:36 AM) So the Sox probably would have scored 5 runs if that pitch was called a ball. OK Hawk. I love BA but he fouled the next pitch off and swung and missed the next one after that. Chances are he would have done nothing. You have to be mentally stronger at the plate than that, especially in that situation.
