7/12: Sox @ Twinkles: 1:10 CT, CSN
QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jul 12, 2009 -> 07:19 PM) Is Bremer screaming that the Twins dominance of the Sox continues even though losing today we are up 5-4 in the season series so far? How hard is it to understand he's talking about the Sox playing at Minnesota?

Buehrle's ERA is now 3.66

Some of us talked about this a month ago, but who do you think will end up with the best ERA for our starting pitchers? Danks would be my guess

Wow, one of the few times I can say I feel like Buehrle let his teammates down with his effort. I can't believe Ozzie's letting him get embarrassed like this.

Todd Wellemeyer is like a gift to the NL Central from the Cardinals. Such a terrible pitcher.

Carlos Gomez absolutely owns us. Just pull Buehrle and save him a few meaningless innings. His change-up is the worst I've ever seen from him today.

QUOTE (beckham15 @ Jul 12, 2009 -> 07:06 PM) the twins pitching may not be good but the middle of the order offense looks flat right now Already on All-Star Break

QUOTE (beckham15 @ Jul 12, 2009 -> 07:02 PM) hopefully jim gets his HR stroke back here soon im starting to wonder if he's starting to be officially "over the hill" He's swinging and missing so many mediocre fastballs lately. Like others have said, interleague games totaly ruined the hot stretch he was on.

Twins have an amazing approach vs Buehrle today. If it's in, pull. If it's out, go with it (there has to be a sexual joke somewhere in there)

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 12, 2009 -> 06:48 PM) Bottom of the order, getting it done again. Favorite part of Sox games the last few weeks has been watching Beckham, Nix/Getz

QUOTE (Marty34 @ Jul 12, 2009 -> 06:46 PM) 4 in the loss column with a brutal schedule after the break is too much to overcome I think. Kenny should be in sell mode. I think it all depends on home the home stand after the ASB goes. There's still approx 20 days until the deadline. I do think Dotel will be traded by the deadline though, and possibly to the Dodgers.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 12, 2009 -> 06:44 PM) Buehrle just looks awful. Everything is up and/or in the middle of the plate. Something just looks so off with the whole team. Like they were just happy to win one game here, and now they just want to get on with their extended break.

QUOTE (jphat007 @ Jul 12, 2009 -> 07:36 PM) Ah well. at least we won 1 and Cleveland won 1. That was better than I expected. Yep, 3.5 back at the ASB with Quentin supposed to join the team next week.

4-0, as the immortal Carlos Gomez hits a 3 run bomb. No excuses, Buehrle and the team just came out flat as hell today. Poreda time might be soon.

QUOTE (Nokona @ Jul 12, 2009 -> 07:31 PM) Scott Baker appears to be dealing And Buehrle appears to be struggling. The energy the Twins had late in the game last night seems to have translated to a quick start for them today.

QUOTE (CSF @ Jul 12, 2009 -> 07:15 PM) Flowers with a cannon arm according to Thorne. I thought there were questions about the throwing strength in his arm. Thorne is an energetic announcer that has very limited knowledge about baseball.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 12, 2009 -> 07:19 PM) Not sure how you can make that assumption, but ok. Alexei and Dye just had really strange at bats, where it seemed like they were kinda dazed. At least this series has shown that no lead is safe. Baker is making our hitters look silly with a 91 mph fastball.

7/12: Sox @ Twinkles: 1:10 CT, CSN
Mulligan!! Ump also already seems to have a bigger zone for Baker than for Buehrle.
-
7/12: Sox @ Twinkles: 1:10 CT, CSN
And we're down 1-0. Our players, through 4 batters, look totally out of it so far.
-
7/12: Sox @ Twinkles: 1:10 CT, CSN
Buehrle's really lucky he didn't mess his ankle up there, as he barely missed hitting Span's foot.
-

Gomez is such a freaking tool out there.

Haha, Flowers with a throwing error on the first play.

Tigers about to be up 2-0 on the Indians with Verlander on the mound. We have to win this to stay 2.5 back heading into ASB.

2009 Cubs thread
This doubleheader today is exactly what the Cubs potentially need to get momentum heading into the 2nd half of the season. Lohse looks like crap returning from the DL. It would be great for the Cards to find a way to split this day.

AND THATS A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!!!
I would say Crede was an average 3rd baseman who's legend was made grander by some clutch hits. He played good defense and had solid power, and that was evened out by his abysmal OBP and lack of speed. We should all respect how well he played down the stretch in 2005. I don't know what else needs to be said, except I hope he goes hitless for the rest of his career if he never plays for the Sox again.
