QUOTE (Heads22 @ Dec 24, 2008 -> 02:57 AM) Greg McDermott wants to be in that team picture. No one on Iowa St would even start for Gonzaga, who lost to Portland State tonight. -

I repeat...no coach gets less from the talent they have on their roster than Mark Few. -

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 24, 2008 -> 02:12 AM) He has never cheered even before tonight. Him and Calvin. Legion seems like a delightful teammate. He's basically the anti-Chester Frazier in every aspect. -

Missouri's performance tonight was one of the worst I've seen. Poor shooting, terrible defense, and literally passing it to the media table. On the other hand, the Legion era at U of I might be funny. He's already pouting on the bench, as he was the only one not standing/cheering with the rest of the team. It's ok, his family thinks he'll go pro early. -
QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Dec 23, 2008 -> 07:47 PM) That's not possible, Tyrus would actually have to have some skills for that to be true. Lawal is still a work in progress, but he at least actually has some touch around the basket, something Tyrus has yet to display. I wouldn't take him in the top-5, but after that this draft isn't exactly deep on superior options. I wouldn't complain about any of Jordan Hill, Greg Monroe, or Lawal. Jordan Hill is so much better in every aspect of the game than Lawal right now.

I think too many people are basing their opinion on Lawal after seeing him face a Penn State team with pathetic interior defense. Lawal has looked miserable against decent post players like Taj, Ogilvy, and VandenMeer. As a GT fan, I'm pleased with Lawal's development this year. However, he's still a very raw post player with terrible ball handling skills and bad interior defense. At least with Tyrus, you had a world-class leaper with great shot blocking ability and decent form on his jump shot. Lawal is one of the weaker FT shooters I've seen at a big time level.

I honestly watched the last minute of the Ohio St game instead of the Bears game so I could see Titus enter the game. I was disappointed when he stole the ball. I'm definitely claiming him for my college fantasy basketball team for the last game of the season. -
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 23, 2008 -> 05:02 PM) Works for me. All the better to get him later. Why does he interest many of you on here, as he's a less skilled version of Tyrus Thomas?
-
BTW, that noise you hear is Lawal's draft stock crashing. Since that Penn State game, he's been horrific. Taj Gibson has dominated him tonight.
-
STILL ALIVE! Awesome camera angle there.
-
Good grief, no idea how he didn't fumble that.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 23, 2008 -> 05:42 AM) G-Reg + horse collar. Is that a verse from his rap?

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 23, 2008 -> 04:39 AM) Corey Graham>Nathan Vasher I just hope Vasher's ok off the field. They keep mentioning that something is bothering him that's not necessarily physical. He has a history of mental illness in his family.
-
QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 23, 2008 -> 04:39 AM) Yeah, after said player kicked the ball. Let's just be happy he didn't Leon Lett it.

QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 23, 2008 -> 04:36 AM) Gotcha. Dumb rule though. True, but if you played a team in college using the spread option, you could have 20 sacks.
-
QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 23, 2008 -> 04:36 AM) Sweet. Who was that that couldn't pick it up. He could of ran for awhile, it seems. Too close to the sideline for anything significant.
-
QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 23, 2008 -> 05:35 AM) In the 3rd quarter, when the Packers tried the QB draw and Harris tackled Rodgers in the backfield, wasn't that a sack? Just before their FG. They didn't count it as one. A designed QB draw where the QB is tackled behind the line of scrimmage is not a sack.

STILL ALIVE!

QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 23, 2008 -> 05:32 AM) I don't think that was Tillman's screw up in Atlanta. Wasn't it Graham? I think you're right...actually, wasn't it some player we had just activated that week? Someone blamed it on Tillman on the radio today, but I'm not positive.
-
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 23, 2008 -> 04:27 AM) No matter what happens the rest of the way, this team has showed tremendous heart (very similar to the White Sox winning the three elimination games to win the central). They've shown no IQ at all. Tillman and Peterson's penalties (Tillman in OT and Peterson tonight) have been inexcusable. When you add to that Tillman's blown read at the end against Atlanta, this year will be remembered more for just stupid decisions by the players and coaches.
-
A. Peterson continues to be a waste of a roster spot this season.
-
Still alive, and still one big play away from football meaning something next week.
-
Boo this f***er off the field. He has no vision at all.
