Fall of '08 television season thread
QUOTE (3E8 @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 04:02 PM) The goatee was a joke. After Michael helped Ryan move and saw his facial hair, Michael grew an identical goatee to Ryan. Then Ryan got freaked out by that and shaved his off, at which point Michael followed suit and claimed they were the goatee-less brothers or something No, but before Michael learned that Ryan shaved his off, there's a scene in the break room where he doesn't have one either.

KW crying? Maybe he will finally do something!!!
I miss watching Carlos Quentin hit.

Cleveland Indians @ Chicago White Sox - 9/26
QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 05:25 AM) No I'd prefer the guys who actually "may" have big league potential. All of those relievers mentioned are hacks. In my opinion we have three big league relievers -- Jenks and Thornton and Linebrink when healthy. I don't like Dotel either. At this point, Dotel is significantly better than Linebrink.

QUOTE (Sox It To Em @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 04:24 AM) Look at this way. Going into this series, we knew our goal was to match the Twins in order to force the Detroit makeup game. Well, we came closer towards accomplishing that goal tonight. Of course, it's frustrating because it was a double loss and we failed to take advantage of an opportunity to regain the lead, but the truth is that things are no different from where they were 24 hours ago. Agreed, and the Royals showed they'll have some fire this wknd.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 04:16 AM) Does anyone truly believe either of these guys could go more than an inning w/out giving up a run? Bless them for trying as younguns, but I dunno. I do agree I'd rather see them than the guys you mentioned. That is something Oz could legitimately be second guessed on when this thing mercifully comes to an end. But does anybody really have confidence in those two either at this stage of their development? Richard's showed a lot of ability the first time through the order. Ozzie felt he was good enough to let him face Nady in the 7th inning of a one run game...but now we're pitching Ramirez over him.

Advice for KW Part Deux
QUOTE (gosox41 @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 05:13 AM) I don't think Ozzie is that bad a manager. Not great, but he has repeatedly asked for a speedsters and instead gets more old power hitters. Not much you can do but play station to station and wait for the 3 run home run. Ozzie's the one who chose to play Griffey in Minnesota over Anderson.

Greg...maybe they're really just not that good of a team. This team should be an 85-86 win team in a tough division.

QUOTE (Want2Repeat @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 04:56 AM) Is there a reason we couldn't use Clayton Richard or Lance Broadway instead of those worthless guys? You bring Dotel in the 5th inning, as we needed some strike outs in that situation. Instead we bring in Carrasco, who hasn't pitched in a meaningful situation in weeks. Ramirez literally should never step on the field during a game for the White Sox ever again.

QUOTE (daa84 @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 04:53 AM) do people really think this is true? I saw a lot of energy from the hitters today. It's just our pitching sucked and we treated this like game #50 and not game #159.

QUOTE (oz615 @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 04:53 AM) I guess the only positive is the Ozzie is apologizing to the fans for the team choking during to post game press conference. Good, then hopefully he's submit his letter of resignation if they don't make it to Monday.

QUOTE (Sox It To Em @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 03:49 AM) I was thinking the same thing. Are they on FOX? Nope, we'll get the gays against the Brewers.

If the Twins win prior to our game tomorrow, I can't imagine the tension that will exist in the game thread.

We also need DJ and Hawk to kiss on the kiss cam again. That started a winning streak last time.

f*** that...he walks first batter, and then on 2 pitches, there's 3 outs. Alexei really sucks now.

Have someone run for Thome, and try to steal to erase the possible DP. They aren't even holding on the runner.

QUOTE (jphat007 @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 04:35 AM) We could use a miracle. Though the Twins losing to the Royals at home might be the only miracle we get. How about a walk and HBP!

QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 04:35 AM) It's a no win situation. Dotel gets used in the 5th. Who are the Sox pitching right now? Horacio in a 1 one run ballgame? Depending on the score, Thornton or Jenks (both are available).
-
Cleveland Indians @ Chicago White Sox - 9/26
So how can we get 3 runs in the 9th? I'm confident that Thome or Konerko will reach. Alexei isn't a good match-up, but I can see Swisher (or Griffey) batting with 2 on and 2 out.

QUOTE (daa84 @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 03:32 AM) whats really frustrating is that if we are gonna burn dotel out anyways there was absolutely no reason to not bring him in in the 5th It's so f***ing frustrating that Eric Wedge is managing with more urgency than Ozzie is.

QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 03:31 AM) I missed most of it. Who started this f***ing game for the Sox??? Danks, and he might have thrown 5 pitches the whole night that were below the knees. There were also two plays at the plate that probably could have been made with either a better throw or better block of the plate.

Did Joe Crede get pigment surgery, and change his name to Jermaine Dye?
