  1. QUOTE (daa84 @ Jul 9, 2008 -> 02:45 AM) sabathia is imploding for the brewcrew right now....forte is fine...i was saying that if he went down it would hte ultimate kick in the balls on an already s***ty day Leadoff double for the Twins against Papelbon.
  2. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jul 9, 2008 -> 02:45 AM) Holy s*** this is terrible baseball. I hate this team on the road. Funny, I was thinking the same thing. The home games are always great, as they always seem to have us in a walkoff situation.
  3. What's our run per game at home vs on the road?
  4. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 9, 2008 -> 02:41 AM) If Harden stays healthy the Cubs are by far the best team in the majors now. If he's actually healthy, they might win 100 games.
  5. Davies making Dye his b**** so far tonight. This is the worst execution we've seen all season against just a pathetic pitcher.
  6. Sox hitters can't square up the hanging curve and the "92 mph" fastball.
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 9, 2008 -> 02:35 AM) A free pass? By who? He was slaughtered around these parts. Who isn't slaughtered around these parts? I was referring to the Sox organization and parts of the media.
  8. QUOTE (daa84 @ Jul 9, 2008 -> 01:35 AM) nice ....though if somehow we get passed by minny we are fighting boston for the WC....farmer just jinxed it though...he just said they came back and won, when there is still an inning to play I don't think the WC will come from AL Central. Red Sox are a vast superior team to the Sox, so I won't even worry about that aspect. Tigers and Twins are the main teams to be concerned about the rest of the way.
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 9, 2008 -> 02:34 AM) I'd guess Haegar is the guy up based on his recent success, and Ozzies want for a long man. I'd rather go with Ehren, and hope he can regain his form. We already have two long men in Masset and Russell.
  10. Scary note....Crede has 3 RBI in his last 16 games. On the other hand, good inning for Jose. Hopefully he's 100 pct.
  11. How many hanging offspeed pitches can we let Davies get away with?
  12. This pitcher is so freaking bad, and we can't get a clutch hit.
  13. QUOTE (Elgin Slim @ Jul 9, 2008 -> 01:22 AM) Really? WCIU has had him consistently at 92-94 I guess you take gun readings with a grain of salt then. WCIU gun is fast, as Davies doesn't throw 93 mph like they're saying he does.
  14. I better not hear this as an excuse, especially after Jose last season being given a free pass.
  15. QUOTE (daa84 @ Jul 9, 2008 -> 01:15 AM) i hope broadway gets the call when bobby goes to the DL and pitches well enough to get a look over jose Over the last 31 innings, Contreras has allowed 62 hits and walks.
  16. I wonder what the ERA of our pitching staff will be now after this jinx?
  17. Leadoff double....Contreras has no chance to consistently get hitters out when his forkball is as pathetic as it is tonight. I have a feeling he's hurt, and it might be his back or his legs. Him pitching at Texas this weekend won't be fun.
  18. On the bright side, at least Ozzie didn't have AJP bunting. Good job Ozzie (this is not sarcasm)
  19. QUOTE (daa84 @ Jul 9, 2008 -> 01:04 AM) terrible day already and getting worse Yep, the more I think about it, the more the Cubs worry me. Their top 4 of Z, Harden, Dempster, and Lilly is ridiculous when you consider how good their offense is.
  20. OC's terrible base running costs us a run. This team just seems out of it tonight, as they might be facing one of the worst pitchers we'll see all season.
