  1. I think CNN is going to interview that crazy Clinton delegate again.
  2. The relievers in the National League are awful! Cole Hamels dominates the Cubs at least, which is promising in case they face each other in the postseason.
  3. I'm really beginning to wonder if Caleb Hanie is the best QB on the Bears roster. His ability to allude the rush is impressive.
  4. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 03:08 AM) This. Tonight he was leaving his pitches up and just didn't look sharp. But I really haven't seen anything else that speaks to a "wall" he has hit. I don't know where someone would be getting that idea. Ok, "wall" reference aside, what type of schedule should Danks be on the rest of the way? Keep him on the normal 4 day rest rotation?

It happens...we've been playing close games for a long time now. I was thinking yesterday that we could have easily been on a 12 game win streak.
  6. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 01:37 AM) In his last 4 starts he has a 2.42 ERA. What wall are you speaking of? Well, I know I'm not the only one who believes in this. Quality posters on this site have made mention of his high inning totals (compared to last year), as well as his inability to keep the ball down in his past few games.
  7. OC's going to be very pissed about that final play. Not going to lie, I was hoping they'd make the play.
  8. Any chance that OC doesn't homer here?
  9. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 01:48 AM) I meant Broadway, but whats the difference, really? Russell at least seems like he could be a bullpen arm down the road. Broadway sucks, plain and simple. How many more years do we have to keep him in the organization?
  10. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 02:45 AM) Russell blows. huh?
  11. Please take Griffey off the field before he tears both ACLs like Wendell Davis did.
  12. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 01:21 AM) I was just irritated when Broadway was picked, but he had good enough stuff to be acceptable. Kyle McCulloch was the pick that had my blood boiling. Meanwhile, Matt Garza never seems to allow runs now.
  13. QUOTE (That funky motion @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 02:18 AM) Massage and a happy ending should do the trick. From what I've been told by the office skank, Danks has absolutely no game with the ladies.
  14. To be honest, lots of teams liked Broadway in the week leading up to the draft. Someone at BA told my brother that they've never seen more scouts at a game that close to the draft as they did when Broadway was facing a top team in CUSA (Tulane maybe ?).
  15. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 02:14 AM) the O's are a bunch of scrubs and we re about to split the series in our chase to the division....nice It's ok, but going to play the Red Sox and facing Beckett and Dice-K is not a fun weekend outlook.
  16. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 02:13 AM) I really hope our previous scouting regime has some rough days in front of them because they really did a number on this franchise with picks like McCulloch, Broadway, Ring, etc. Do you consider jail to be rough?
  17. Lance Broadway is a very bad pitcher. Thankfully he pitched well against the Royals a few weeks back.
  18. What do you think the Sox should do with him the rest of the way? He seems to have hit a wall basically since the 7th inning of that great Red Sox start, and his stuff has been mediocre since then. I haven't looked at the schedule in terms of days off, etc., but I really don't want to "rest" him while we let Broadway pitch in crucial games.
  19. Honestly, when we have CQ and Anderson on the bench, there's no reason in the world to let Griffey face a side-arming lefty. It's fine though, this game was lost by Danks.
  20. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 12:53 AM) Difference is the O's have gotten 4 runs home with 2 outs while we've left runners on with 2 outs Orioles have played excellent defense tonight, while the defense for the Sox has been very poor (absolutely no range by OC, Swisher, and Griffey).
  21. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 01:51 AM) wish the sox knew how to draft pitching - we burned a number one pick on this guy? What's shocking is people actually clamor to see him start again.
  22. QUOTE (Sox It To Em @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 01:51 AM) f***ing great. One back after tonight. Oh well. You have to view 2/4 on the road as a success. Stop saying 2 out of 3.
  23. Wow, what a freaking joke. This defense is pathetic. Look how deep Griffey was playing JUAN f***ING CASTRO!
  24. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 01:42 AM) You asked what happened earlier in the thread. Are you watching the game, or just following online? I'm watching...have work to do at home though that takes me out of the den so I missed some stuff.
  25. Ya, this lineup really misses CQ.
