QUOTE (Brian @ May 15, 2008 -> 03:08 AM) Wow, no K from out #3 hitter? Nice, isn't it? -

Great swing by CQ...Anderson's having some trouble out there. -

QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 15, 2008 -> 03:06 AM) Magic lineup. OC on 3rd, AJ into 2nd with a double for CQ. Only a single, fan in the crowd missed by an inch of making it a ground rule double. -

QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 15, 2008 -> 02:03 AM) Open door. That was hillarious, how can no one notice prior to the first pitch? -
Sounds like Peavy might have some elbow issues. The announcers are saying he's not throwing a lot of breaking pitches anymore, and his fastball has lost 4 mph.

I've suggested AJP leading off because maybe it would give this team the spark it's been missing for 2 seasons now. It's not like him leading off would hurt someone else on the team who should be leading off, so I see no harm in this happening.

I heard AJP say something on the radio that makes me think it's 2007 again. AJP said "of course guys like Thome and PK will pick it up, just look at their career stats".

I'll just add this comment, but don't worry, I won't be in this thread: Lackey likely will be on a pitch count tonight, and our late rally on Monday made it so Shields and K-Rod have now had to pitch in both games of this series. Hopefully, we get to some of their other relievers tonight.

I didn't see anything in the game thread that suggested someone was suspended.

QUOTE (Frankensteiner @ May 14, 2008 -> 05:40 AM) Swisher had to be on the juice, right? How else do you explain the drop in performance. There's no power, and the few times he hit the ball hard, it made it to the warning track. He's from Oakland....who wasn't on stuff there?

QUOTE (NorthSideSox15 @ May 14, 2008 -> 04:40 AM) I feel like everyone is bashing Swish, and don't get me wrong he deserves most of it, but I feel we should be a lot more ticked off at Cabrera, the guy has been awful. Way to go CQ! A rare miscue by Hunter. At least OC will be gone in a few months. With Swisher, we all just want to see better contact at the plate, as he's going to be a major part of the Sox for the rest of this decade.

QUOTE (daa84 @ May 14, 2008 -> 04:28 AM) against hunter? no way...if thornton gave up the hit to hunter we would all be torching ozzie right now...hindsight is 20/20, but i still think ozzie made the right call Yeah, I have no problem with it. Lost in this probably loss is Dye not catching that ball. I don't think he should have even had to dive for it.

QUOTE (kwolf68 @ May 14, 2008 -> 04:27 AM) The guy sucks in the field. He always has. He's not even a good right-fielder, he's an even worse CF. Toss in a .207 average, no speed and the fact we gutted our minor leagues for him and it's not going to be a shock that a lot of people arent on his bandwagon. He's just a character guy...he grinds, he had shaggy hair, he is a good interview on the Rome show, he donates toys to kids...but can he play elite CF? Hell no. But we have him locked up for 5 years!! I hope KW looked into things surrounding his drop in power last season, etc.
