For all the love Buehrle is getting here for his bounceback year, Jon Garland is actually slightly better in ERA (3.15 to 3.33), has a similar record at 6-5 to Mark's 5-4, and similar WHIP at 1.16 to Mark's 1.10. And unlike Mark, Jon is coming off an 18 win season. One day he'll get the credit he deserves among Sox fans. Like I said, if you can get him to waive his NTC and find some valuable prospects in return, trade Thome. People closer to the situation than any of us keep saying how injured he's been/is.

Santo, I saw you post this elsewhere, but I'm on the Willie Harris at 2nd base bandwagon for the Sox next year. You find a guy who can hit lefties that can platoon with him, and you have a perfect #9 hitter for the squad. He wouldn't cost much, and you could use your resources on guys at other positions.
