Chris Benoit...
QUOTE(briguy27 @ Jun 26, 2007 -> 04:34 AM) Ahh yes, that's right. If everything goes bad with a person, I don't get why they have to take other people's lives. He could of took a leave of abscense from the WWE (if they have that there), and got things straight. Sadly, things aren't that simple for people, especially if depression is involved (I've heard just horrific stories about people being shells of their former selves).

2007 MLB Catch-All Thread
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jun 26, 2007 -> 03:56 AM) I'm just looking at it from a Sox point of view, and if this was my team, I would be upset about what took place tonight. Ya it nice to win these games that you blow, but to have the back end of the bullpen blow up on you like that is not a place I would like to be, at least if this team is supposed to be a contender. Yes, but it's not like it was their closer who blew the game. Dempster's supposed to be back in a few days, I believe.

2007 MLB Catch-All Thread
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jun 26, 2007 -> 03:49 AM) I just have to laugh. Yes, they are in a terrible division, but it's amazing how excited Cub fans are about a 36-39 team. They have a long, long way to go. Yep, it's just disturbing to see them winning all of these close games now. If they had been having this type of luck earlier in the year, they'd be right up there with the Brewers. Now, they're getting every break imaginable.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jun 26, 2007 -> 03:44 AM) Exciting win, but you can't feel that good after giving up a 6 spot in the 9th. Uh huh...I hate those f***ers. This baseball season just gets worse and worse.

I hate you Kaz Matsui. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 26, 2007 -> 03:27 AM) HAHAHA, good to know the world is right and the Cubs still suck at life. And the Brew Crew already won. Nice jinx! Soriano's won the Cubs 4 straight games now.

Jacque Jones to Floridaaaaa
QUOTE(JDsDirtySox @ Jun 26, 2007 -> 03:29 AM) I would like to see him on the Sox, but I think the Cubs and Padres may be at it again. fathom... how about that fan going out to have some "words" with Howry... LOL It would make sense, as Jones is from San Diego.

Jacque Jones to Floridaaaaa
QUOTE(JDsDirtySox @ Jun 26, 2007 -> 03:22 AM) I am thinking a trade of Jacque Jones will be announced tonight after the Cub game... stay tuned. Go Rockies... don't call it comeback. TULO! A trade to the Sox? And yes, that swing by Troy T. was fantastic.

All hell is breaking loose in Cubs game. Eyre/Howry gave up 6 runs in like 3 minutes to blow the lead, and a fan went out to tackle Howry after it.

Chris Benoit...
QUOTE(briguy27 @ Jun 26, 2007 -> 02:58 AM) Just b/c they were found in 3 different rooms doesn't mean Chris or his wife did it. It's possible the killer broke in quietly, killed the wife, snuck up behind Chris and killed him, then maybe went up (or down) and killed the son When the sheriff says that they're not pursuing anyone in this case, I'd imagine the evidence is overwhelming that someone in the house is responsible.

Chris Benoit...
Another report I just saw states that the item used in at least two of the deaths was found at the scene.

Chris Benoit...
QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jun 26, 2007 -> 02:48 AM) How? There were no gun shots. Would he have used a knife? Not sure, but it's on multiple stations now in the southeast. All three of them were found in separate rooms.

Chris Benoit...
Reports out of Atlanta now are that it's being investigated as a murder-suicide, with Benoit killing his wife last night, and then taking his own life today. I pray this isn't true.

White Sox vs. Devil Rays, 6/25/07 (W)
It was obviously sarcasm by Guillen....good to see he can still have fun (and yes, I'm serious).

I'm happy for Danks that he got the win.

I think I say this on behalf of most of the people here...
QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Jun 26, 2007 -> 02:03 AM) The fans dont deserve this but I remind you that we knew it was coming. The day that KW let Aaron Rowand go was the biggest mistake! He sold our soul and basically insinuated that anyone was expendable no matter what your contribution leading up to that point might have been. I must say that wouldnt motivate me or make me feel like we are building the sense of team. Is it possible that KW felt threatened by someone like Aaron Rowand? I am starting to believe so. If we're going by who contributed more to our World Series win, then letting Geoff Blum go was his biggest mistake. Blum >Rowand in the playoffs.

White Sox vs. Devil Rays, 6/25/07 (W)
QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Jun 26, 2007 -> 01:46 AM) Did Pods just forget he needed to swing at balls in the zone? We are quickly losing even the fundemental knowledge of the game here It's been happening with him for 2 years now...odd time to bring this up.

Is Jenks on the block?
BTW....this trade would never happen, as Sizemore might be the biggest untouchable there is in baseball. Please keep my blood pressure down everyone, and don't suggest that this could actually happen.

White Sox vs. Devil Rays, 6/25/07 (W)
QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 26, 2007 -> 12:50 AM) Can Danks throw a ground ball? You really have to wonder if he'll be able to be effective pitching at the Cell unless he can develop a cutter/sinker. His home run rate is scary.
-
Is Jenks on the block?
I'm all for trading Jenks...he's shown nothing that makes you believe he'll get his 98 mph fastball back. If he has anywhere near this value, you trade him.
-
White Sox vs. Devil Rays, 6/25/07 (W)
Danks just isn't very good right now. It's almost the exact opposite about how we thought he'd struggle out of the gates, and then he'd develop over the course of the season like he did in every other league.

White Sox vs. Devil Rays, 6/25/07 (W)
So, who ends up with the lower ERA this year, Danks or McCarthy? And this is a serious question, not a post ripping on the trade.
-
White Sox vs. Devil Rays, 6/25/07 (W)
Terrero should be a back-up outfielder next year for the Sox, as he gives you someone who can play all 3 outfield positions and can supply a little power/speed off the bench.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 11:19 PM) Thome swings and misses at the 84 mph gas. He's worthless against LHP....Santo = dorf, if you're reading this, what would you think about trading Thome?
