  1. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ May 28, 2007 -> 07:55 PM) They won't! They should have...no reason to not load the bases with our team speed.
  2. Wow, excellent! PK finally looked for that inside fastball on the first pitch.
  3. f***, that just barely missed!
  4. Something definitely seems wrong with Contreras. His velocity has dropped significantly since the first inning, and he seems to be just floating that forkball up to the plate.
  5. QUOTE(diegotony06 @ May 28, 2007 -> 07:34 PM) Uribe is f***ing garbage!! He's batting .208....yet some people think he's having a great year. Looks like this is the inning we make sure Santana goes 8 innings, and not 7. I'm sure glad we decided to play 3 lefties against Santana today.
  6. Dye has mastered the swing at balls and take strikes approach this season.
  7. Maybe it's me, but usually righty sliders pitchers get destroyed by lefty hitters, but they can dominate righty hitters.
  8. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 28, 2007 -> 07:01 PM) Terrero has been A LOT better than I thought he'd be. He's worked counts a lot better than his zero walks in AAA led us to believe.
  9. Terrero showing some big time power since he's been up. Might as well keep putting him out there.
  10. I'd like to thank KW for all he did to improve us against LHP. What's the point of having Toby Hall on the roster if Ozzie's going to let AJ decided when he plays, etc. Does anyone know what our record is against LHP this year?
  11. Something definitely seems wrong with Contreras this inning. He has no life on his pitches. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 28, 2007 -> 06:49 PM) Another f***ing ouch run. f*** this Does it even matter today? Good thing we didn't play Saturday night.
  12. Looking forward to the next 2 hours of Hawk b****ing about the umps. The ump does suck....so Ozzie might want to get off of his ass now.
  13. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 28, 2007 -> 06:44 PM) God, I wish we had a catcher that could throw. He's such a bad catcher.
  14. QUOTE(mr_genius @ May 28, 2007 -> 06:42 PM) well, atleast we can have a "ozzie calls for another beanball" thread Nah, that one obviously wasn't intentional. However, I can't fathom how anyone didn't think the Tampa one was intentional.
  15. Well, that sucks. At least Hawk can fellate the piranhas now.
  16. Contreras looks like he might be hurt. He seems to be laboring after each pitch, and he keeps trying to stretch out.
  17. I always say this: games against Santana are the only games that we play in which I feel like we have no chance to win.
  18. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ May 28, 2007 -> 06:28 PM) I'm stoked to see Day up here. He's got major league stuff, but I'm not sure if he has major league command yet. Sounds like he'll fit in with our bullpen perfectly. Ozzie needs to make sure he only faces righties.
  19. Some good movement on the fastball by Contreras.
  20. Well, this is off to a great start. I have no clue why we even show up when we face Santana.
  21. QUOTE(mr_genius @ May 28, 2007 -> 06:22 PM) he hits santana better than just about anyone on our team Yeah, I have no problem with him playing today. It's more against the rest of the lefties we face. He's around .140 against lefties since the ASB last year.
  22. Super....more minor league talent on the big league roster!
  23. I wish we'd have the balls to platoon Thome, as he's so mediocre against LHP.
  24. Oh goodie!!!! A 27 year old pitcher in AA with an ERA of 3.60 and a WHIP around 1.5. I wonder if his slider will be compared to the great curveball of Arnie Munoz?
  25. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 28, 2007 -> 03:16 AM) Borrowing a line from Jerry Reinsorf, anyone who thinks this Sox team can catch Cleveland is crazy. I think they have a shot at Detroit and the WC. If KW wants to finish ahead of Cleveland, he's going to have to get rid of some of the "depth" he thinks he has in the minor leagues. The bullpen needs to be fixed, and they have to get someone who can run a little and get on base. Those two offenses hit the ball so hard. It was a pleasure seeing good quality at-bats throughout that series.
