5/26 Games
QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 27, 2007 -> 03:42 AM) Good, we can cut Pods when he comes off the DL. You know that will never happen. He'll come back and struggle....but they'll just say he's not 100 pct healthy or he's having trouble playing at full speed due to fear of reinjuring himself.

Rainout Frustration
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 27, 2007 -> 03:48 AM) They really handeled tonight piss poor. They could have easily started this thing at 8:30 or 9, and they add on by scheduling the makeup game for a Monday afternoon in late August, a date and time in which nobody is going to show up, AND it means we have a stretch during that time of 19 games in 19 days now. A lot of people got screwed tonight, that's for sure, and it's a darn shame. Yep, spent a lot of money for four tickets tonight, and there's no way any of the people can go to the game in August. I can't imagine how pissed off some families with little kids would be about this.

White Sox vs. Devil Rays, 5/27/07 (L)
Really stupid to not try and get a DH in tomorrow. We keep missing bad pitchers due to the rain outs, like Ponson and now Jackson. This is about as good of news as the fact that Halladay has made a dramatic recovery and will return 3 weeks early to face the Sox next week. We're facing some pretty nasty starting pitching.

Lots of rain tonight....any chance they get this in?

AJ Pierzynski
QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 26, 2007 -> 01:04 PM) AJ has more big hits since he became a White Sox than any other player on the team. He also brings with him an attitude that has rubbed off on guys. The winning percentage of the teams he's played for is incredible. I know you can't give him full credit for that, but you probably can give him some. The White Sox would never have won in 2005 without him. I'm sure some on the team find him to be a pain in the ass, if not most, but I think they all respect him when the game starts. He may be an ass, but he's not going around beating women, taking drugs, breaking laws. The Sox are lucky to have him. Congrats on the best post I've seen all season.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!
I thought Crede looked great at the plate today.

QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ May 26, 2007 -> 03:05 AM) You were damn close to having to add a game to your sig. It all matters on who called for the HBP.

Nice win....I'll give credit to Ozzie for bringing in Jenks in the 9th.

White Sox vs. Devil Rays, 5/25/07 (W)
Nice jump by Terrero. Is it time for Thome's first walk-off?

White Sox vs. Devil Rays, 5/25/07 (W)
Orvella has no control....we made that too easy for him.

QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ May 26, 2007 -> 02:23 AM) I swear, Thorton balked and umps didnt see it. Actually he didnt, just looked like it at first glance. I thought you have to step off more than he did. His move was more like a righty pick-off move to first base....which is fine, but there wasn't a runner on 3rd base.

Great pitch, as Norton was having a great at-bat.

White Sox vs. Devil Rays, 5/25/07 (W)
QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 26, 2007 -> 02:20 AM) Has he had a good throw all year? I know the pitchers don't help him a whole bunch (sans Buehrle), but every once in a while you'd think he'd bail 'em out with a perfect throw right on the bag. I can't think of anything good he's done defensively.

White Sox vs. Devil Rays, 5/25/07 (W)
Thornton better be brought in here. Why does it seem like our runners have to go 100 feet to get to the base, and the opposition has to go 80?

White Sox vs. Devil Rays, 5/25/07 (W)
More terrible defense by AJ, as a good throw gets him easily.

White Sox vs. Devil Rays, 5/25/07 (W)
Good job of rebounding....but let that drop!

White Sox vs. Devil Rays, 5/25/07 (W)
Ha...MacDougal in to face a lefty? Good grief! Does Ozzie know we have 3 lefties in the bullpen? MacDougal sucks vs lefties. Crawford is better against righties, and lefties have a 3.38 WHIP against MacDougal.

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ May 26, 2007 -> 02:11 AM) It's nothing personal. I like the way he plays. He's one of the few that hustles. But I really don't like him. Seems like a good guy, though. I like him a lot....but he can't be playing every day. We need a new LF!

White Sox vs. Devil Rays, 5/25/07 (W)
QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 26, 2007 -> 02:10 AM) That's two different things. Buehrle threw two fastballs inside with the intent of hitting Harris. That's a little different than hanging a breaking/offspeed pitch. If Buehrle meant to hit Harris, then he got what he deserved. I also think Buehrle thought he'd be coming out after that batter, so he wanted to get his retaliation in before he left.

These are games you simply can't lose. Does anyone know how many games we've lost this year when leading going into the 7th inning?

White Sox vs. Devil Rays, 5/25/07 (W)
QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 26, 2007 -> 02:05 AM) Then he has way too good of control to hang that change to Dukes. I don't think that was intentional, and I have no problem with Buehrle staying in with two outs. Buehrle's thrown tons of high change-ups all game. What he hasn't done is nearly hit anyone with two inside fastballs like he did with Harris.

Crede's actually had 4 pretty good swings tonight.

White Sox vs. Devil Rays, 5/25/07 (W)
QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 26, 2007 -> 02:04 AM) Oh it was definitely intentional. First pitch waaaaay inside followed by an AJ mound visit followed by a pitch right on Harris' hip. I'm sorry, Buehrle has too good of control for that not to have been intentional. What type of idiot, be it Ozzie or AJ or Buehrle, calls for that there?

White Sox vs. Devil Rays, 5/25/07 (W)
QUOTE(caulfield12 @ May 26, 2007 -> 02:03 AM) Who should he have gone too, Aardsma or MacDougal? Both those guys have been absolutely terrible recently. I still have faith in MacDougal, but that's because I don't know how people hit him.

White Sox vs. Devil Rays, 5/25/07 (W)
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ May 26, 2007 -> 02:02 AM) I doubt that was Ozzie's call. He understands that Dukes is a good hitter, I'm sure, and he doesn't like to walk people to bring the tying run up, let alone hit someone to bring it up. I think you're overreacting. If that was Buehrle or AJ's call, then that's even dumber. There's no doubt in my mind it was intentional.
