White Sox vs. Cubs, 6/24/07 (L)
Non-Ozzie debate: I heard a funny comment from Allen Thomas, our strength coach. He said the Sox are notorious for finishing the season strong.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 08:08 PM) Andy Gonzalez, Jerry Owens, Brett Prinz, Andrew Sisco, Gustavo Molina, Alex Cintron. There are all layers who have been on our roster this year. f*** you Ozzie, for getting s*** and making s***-ade. I wouldn't use Sisco and Molina in your argument, as those were two players that had a direct connection to Ozzie's managing. However, it's games like today that make me appreciate that Toby Hall got some practice at 1B during spring training. And FWIW, Cintron's been all but begging to get put on the DL all season, but Ozzie doesn't want to due to having no other back-up SS. I've never said this is all Ozzie's fault. Him and KW have had a horrendous season.

0 for the series by AJ....it's too bad we can't trade him for Murton/Patterson.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 08:03 PM) fathom, in can you in any feasible way blame Ozzie for the utter s***tiness of this team. We get the f***ing point. You don't like Ozzie. It's his fault we suck. He's a terrible manager. Congrats. But please, don't try to tell other people he is a bad manager because he has s*** players to make a lineup with. Please, don't try to tell people he is a bad manager because no matter who he calls out of the bullpen is going to get shelled. Get over yourself and get off Ozzie's back already. Do you think GP, myself, and others don't know that our team is terrible? Guess what, we do. But unfortunately for you, Ozzie Guillen is not the GM. He does not acquire the players on the 15 man roster. He might make suggestions, he might have a say as to the type of players he wants, but he certainly did not ask for this s***ty 25 man roster. Do you really think he went to KW and said "I want a bunch of .210 hitters who swing for the fences and play bad defense. Go get 'em Kenny!" All I'm saying is that if he has such a tough time managing this personnel, then maybe he's not the right person for this team. I always said he was the perfect person for 2005 due to the players we had on them, and how we had to manufacture runs. However, he wasn't the manager for 2006, as bunting/small ball with that personnel was dumb. I'll get off Ozzie's back when he stops looking incompetent out there.

Good start Jose....I hope you're traded before your next start, and I'll always remember you for 2005.

I don't care if Aramis K's here, this is so idiotic.
-
White Sox vs. Cubs, 6/24/07 (L)
Shouldn't you walk Aramis here, and bring in Logan for Floyd? I'm happy to see MacDougal warming up, as hopefully that means he won't be the one dealt for J. Jones.

After this game, I think I'll be happier if the Brewers win than the Sox win (and if people call me a bad fan for this, so be it).

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 07:55 PM) Nope, but he certainly doesn't have 100% say, like you make it seem he does. Yep, I've said all along Ozzie has 100 pct say on the roster. I really wonder how bad things would have to get before people like yourself and GP start wondering about our leadership. This has to be the lowest point in over a decade for this organization.

Well, at least we let that piece of s*** dominate us this week. What an awful pitch there. At least Contreras has pitched well enough to get his trade value up a little. Keep throwing him fastballs though....he can't hit them.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 07:52 PM) I bet you it was the stupid Ozzie who started negotiations. We all know he dictates who the 25 man roster is. I'll ask you this one time, as the excuses are getting ridiculous: do you think Ozzie has zero say on what the roster is?

QUOTE(MurcieOne @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 07:52 PM) Pagan just robbed Paulie of a long single..... get over it Yep....would have hurt a lot more if we had someone on base. How can anyone say that was a good play? He misplayed a routine fly ball.

QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 07:51 PM) I honestly think Kenny and Ozzie made a deal with the devil to get 1 title for this team. We will suck forever now. That's fine with me.

Cubs having one of the luckier defensvie games I've ever seen.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 07:47 PM) God Ozzie is so in love with moving Iguchi out of the 2 hole, he puts a cardboard cutout of a baseball player that doesnt swing the bat up in the 2 hole. Dude, there's nothing Ozzie can do. This team sucks.

Another 0-3 for Thome against a lefty....I don't care what the stats say, he's been awful since he came back from injury.
-
White Sox vs. Cubs, 6/24/07 (L)
Haha...nice AB. Please just quit KW and Ozzie.
-
White Sox vs. Cubs, 6/24/07 (L)
Nice running catch by Gonzalez.
-
White Sox vs. Cubs, 6/24/07 (L)
We have Gonzalez and Thome leading off next inning. Chances that either of them get a hit are like 15 pct.
-
White Sox vs. Cubs, 6/24/07 (L)
Good thing we were giving up the run, you know, with our awesome offense and their terrible bullpen.
-
White Sox vs. Cubs, 6/24/07 (L)
Stupid pitch selection to Floyd. He destroys fastballs up and away.
-
White Sox vs. Cubs, 6/24/07 (L)
Contreras has been hanging that forkball all game. Not a chance in hell the Cubs don't score this inning.

White Sox vs. Cubs, 6/24/07 (L)
That was a great play by the catcher. I hate that swing by Pods, as all he had to do was hit grounder to the 2b.
-
White Sox vs. Cubs, 6/24/07 (L)
That was so predictable. Terrero didn't get a very good jump. Awful swing by Pods on the 2-0.
-
White Sox vs. Cubs, 6/24/07 (L)
Just hit a grounder to the SS.
