  1. Nice win....I'll give credit to Ozzie for bringing in Jenks in the 9th.
  2. Nice jump by Terrero. Is it time for Thome's first walk-off?
  3. Orvella has no control....we made that too easy for him.
  4. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ May 26, 2007 -> 02:23 AM) I swear, Thorton balked and umps didnt see it. Actually he didnt, just looked like it at first glance. I thought you have to step off more than he did. His move was more like a righty pick-off move to first base....which is fine, but there wasn't a runner on 3rd base.
  5. Great pitch, as Norton was having a great at-bat.
  6. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 26, 2007 -> 02:20 AM) Has he had a good throw all year? I know the pitchers don't help him a whole bunch (sans Buehrle), but every once in a while you'd think he'd bail 'em out with a perfect throw right on the bag. I can't think of anything good he's done defensively.
  7. Thornton better be brought in here. Why does it seem like our runners have to go 100 feet to get to the base, and the opposition has to go 80?
  8. More terrible defense by AJ, as a good throw gets him easily.
  9. Good job of rebounding....but let that drop!
  10. Ha...MacDougal in to face a lefty? Good grief! Does Ozzie know we have 3 lefties in the bullpen? MacDougal sucks vs lefties. Crawford is better against righties, and lefties have a 3.38 WHIP against MacDougal.
  11. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ May 26, 2007 -> 02:11 AM) It's nothing personal. I like the way he plays. He's one of the few that hustles. But I really don't like him. Seems like a good guy, though. I like him a lot....but he can't be playing every day. We need a new LF!
  12. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 26, 2007 -> 02:10 AM) That's two different things. Buehrle threw two fastballs inside with the intent of hitting Harris. That's a little different than hanging a breaking/offspeed pitch. If Buehrle meant to hit Harris, then he got what he deserved. I also think Buehrle thought he'd be coming out after that batter, so he wanted to get his retaliation in before he left.
  13. These are games you simply can't lose. Does anyone know how many games we've lost this year when leading going into the 7th inning?
  14. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 26, 2007 -> 02:05 AM) Then he has way too good of control to hang that change to Dukes. I don't think that was intentional, and I have no problem with Buehrle staying in with two outs. Buehrle's thrown tons of high change-ups all game. What he hasn't done is nearly hit anyone with two inside fastballs like he did with Harris.
  15. Crede's actually had 4 pretty good swings tonight.
  16. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 26, 2007 -> 02:04 AM) Oh it was definitely intentional. First pitch waaaaay inside followed by an AJ mound visit followed by a pitch right on Harris' hip. I'm sorry, Buehrle has too good of control for that not to have been intentional. What type of idiot, be it Ozzie or AJ or Buehrle, calls for that there?
  17. QUOTE(caulfield12 @ May 26, 2007 -> 02:03 AM) Who should he have gone too, Aardsma or MacDougal? Both those guys have been absolutely terrible recently. I still have faith in MacDougal, but that's because I don't know how people hit him.
  18. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ May 26, 2007 -> 02:02 AM) I doubt that was Ozzie's call. He understands that Dukes is a good hitter, I'm sure, and he doesn't like to walk people to bring the tying run up, let alone hit someone to bring it up. I think you're overreacting. If that was Buehrle or AJ's call, then that's even dumber. There's no doubt in my mind it was intentional.
  19. QUOTE(RME JICO @ May 26, 2007 -> 02:01 AM) Ozzie never leaves pitchers in too long (see almost every loss). Buehrle was struggling almost every inning with his command. You have a righty in the bullpen who doesn't give up many homers against a guy who hits lefties better than righties. I missed the homer, as I was coming on to this site to say it's a good move that Ozzie went out to pull Buehrle.
  20. QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ May 26, 2007 -> 02:00 AM) here we go again Even you said it was intentional.
  21. Seriously, who in their right f***ing mind hits a guy to put the tying run up to the plate?
  22. QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ May 26, 2007 -> 01:59 AM) Yea that HBP was intentional!! And Poof Tie Game Elijah Duke hits almost .50 points higher against lefties.
  23. Unbelievable....nice that we left in Buehrle one hitter too long. Hitting Harris was definitley intentional. f*** you Ozzie!
  24. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 26, 2007 -> 01:55 AM) Mark can finish ip this inning, then grab a sammich or something and shower. nah I think both Terrero and Harris were hit on purpose.
  25. That sure looked intentional. If it was, then that's a dumb f***ing decision.
