  1. QUOTE(RME JICO @ May 28, 2007 -> 08:40 PM) I am really hoping Contreras is the one moved this offseason. I just have such a bad feeling it will be Buehrle and Garland that are gone. Don't worry though, Floyd and Gio are ready to come up and lead us to a 5th place AL Central finish.
  2. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 28, 2007 -> 08:39 PM) I am so sick of Sox pitchers falling behind in counts. If their stuff is so dominating why don't the White Sox pitchers attack the hitters? The stuff of the Sox pitchers is so overrated. We have two guys that throw at least 95 mph, we have only one guy with a specialty pitch (Contreras).
  3. QUOTE(diegotony06 @ May 28, 2007 -> 08:37 PM) I saw the smiley faces. I'm just pissed cause I had money on this game, and Ozziee f***ed me. No hard feelings bro No offense, as you know I like negative posts, but you're the dumbass for betting on the Sox.
  4. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 28, 2007 -> 08:32 PM) God Bless America during the seventh inning stretch is getting old. It's official....we'll complain about everything.
  5. QUOTE(Wedge @ May 28, 2007 -> 08:31 PM) By sending your staff ace out there to pitch another inning? My memory is short... but I think that's what Ozzie did. Our staff ace with a 4.45 ERA and diminishing fastball? Sounds like 2006 all over again.
  6. BTW, Ozzie's biggest mistake was not having the infield in when Punto was up. With a one run lead in the 6th against a starter/relief core which is lights out....you have to try and cut down that run at home. QUOTE(JohnCangelosi @ May 28, 2007 -> 08:32 PM) How long have you been watching Twins baseball? They are by far the luckiest team in the league with all of the BS that happens in this joke of a stadium, including shank hits and infield choppers that bounce like a FU*&ING superball that they have perfected at this place. Not to mention the lost in the tarp advantage they have amongst others. I've seen it now for 22 years. Playing there 81 games a year is the biggest home field advantage in baseball, bar none. Of course, in the post season, they get exposed and undressed like the b&tches they are but thats a whole nother point. I admit they are fundamentally sound and have a great bullpen, but mark my words: THIS WILL BE A DIFFERENT TEAM WHEN THEY MOVE INTO THE NEW STADIUM!!!! It's called they play towards their stadium. Like you said, it's not luck if it always happens. They construct their team around playing like this.
  7. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 28, 2007 -> 08:30 PM) He started slowly, however. Everyone's had their rocky points. Evidently Greg Walker moved on from the offense and is now working with the Sox BP. I just want to know where everyone's velocity went? Aardsma was throwing 95-96 mph last year....and now everything is 91-92 mph. Don't even get me started on Contreras and Vazquez's velocity.
  8. QUOTE(Wedge @ May 28, 2007 -> 08:29 PM) You have to know in your heart of hearts that even if Ozzie does that we're still probably losing this game. That's fine....but I hate when he leaves out the starting pitcher to die when it's obvious to everyone they have nothing left.
  9. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 28, 2007 -> 08:27 PM) So how is Ozzie supposed to protect against that? I didn't say it was all his fault. Vazquez and Contreras had nothing two straight days, and it was just a matter of time before they gave up a handful of runs in an inning. However, once Contreras let Bartlett reach base, a lefty should have been brought in. Not only cause the next 3 hitters were either lefties or switch hitters, but also to hold the runner more efficiently.
  10. Contreras should have been pulled after Bartlett's single for Logan.
  11. QUOTE(Iguchicago @ May 28, 2007 -> 08:26 PM) Yea, because that was what he clearly wanted to do. Did you see his swing? He knew exactly what he was doing protecting like that. I guess between Pena's cheap homer and Hunter's cheap hit.....we're just not getting lucky these days.
  12. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 28, 2007 -> 08:24 PM) I wanted Donnelly this offseason. He couldn't have banked on Thornton and MacDougal struggling like they have. Thornton's been good though. Before yesterday, he had gone 13 straight scoreless appearances.
  13. QUOTE(JohnCangelosi @ May 28, 2007 -> 08:23 PM) F*&K the Twins with their lucky ass infield hits- they are the luckiest team in the league!!! And our bullpen absolutely sucks! How's it luck? It's called making contact.
  14. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 28, 2007 -> 08:22 PM) Note to KW on next offseason: PAY MIDDLE RELIEVERS MARKET RATE. THEY ARE WORTH IT. HAVING A BULLPEN FILLED WITH GAS CANS WILL GET YOU ANOTHER DISSAPOINTING FINISH. Maybe we should just be so thankful that Cotts, Politte, Hermanson, and Jenks could make any manager look good.
  15. QUOTE(Soxfest @ May 28, 2007 -> 08:21 PM) f*** Aardsma he has not done s*** all month send his ass down.KW great pen is a piece of s***. This is what KW gets for trading with s***ty teams. There's a reason two of the three worst teams in baseball last year had no problem giving up Aardsma and Sisco.
  16. QUOTE(3E8 @ May 28, 2007 -> 08:20 PM) Why was a breaking ball not thrown Cause AJP is the most overrated defensive player in baseball.
  17. f*** this team. Great job with the bullpen KW. I can't wait for the day KW and Ozzie are fired.
  18. Haha....we deserve that for the stupid PK play at first base.
  19. QUOTE(diegotony06 @ May 28, 2007 -> 08:13 PM) Now he will bring in Boone in a high pressure situation. This f***ing guy is such a terrible manager it's unreal he still has a job!!! He is a complete f***ing Moron!!! I'd rather have Logan face Morneau than anyone else. QUOTE(RME JICO @ May 28, 2007 -> 08:13 PM) Why would Ozzie wait this long? Tyner and Punto were both Lefties, just bring in Logan to start the inning. Ozzie must love losing games that we lead in the 6th inning. Seems like it happens twice a week.
  20. QUOTE(Brian @ May 28, 2007 -> 08:12 PM) This reminds me of when we first got Jose and all he wanted to do was throw forkballs 24/7. It's cause he's injured....his back looked to be bothering him.
  21. Ozzie just left Contreras out there to die. So where exactly did Contreras leave about 6 mph on his fastball?
  22. QUOTE(mr_genius @ May 28, 2007 -> 08:06 PM) and half the thread hates the sox again Nope, we just hate our jackass manager.
  23. That's just terrible f***ing managing. Why play the infield back? That forkball is up their for the hitters to put wherever they want. I hate you Ozzie.
  24. Come on Ozzie, get him out of the f***ing game.
  25. Good grief...he's just lobbing the ball to the plate. Ozzie's going to leave him in there to die.
