  1. QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 2, 2006 -> 03:20 AM) Like what, Fathom? Crede pops up to end the game. If he hits a liner in the rc gap, we win the game. Like leaving Jose in too long? Jose is a starter on a big league team. He has to go more than 4 innings and errors contributed to Jose's s***tiness too. Playing Pods? Pods is the best we got in that option. Oz is playing the personnel KW gives him. Pods isn't the best option we have...and it's not even close. The guy is simply awful in every aspect of the game. And yes, you don't need to pitch your starter a certain amount of innings every game. If they don't have it, then cut your losses that day, and maybe the short start will save a little of the fatigue. We keep hearing about how our pitchers are fatigued, yet we haven't done a single freaking thing to try and help them out. Just like how we beat Tampa, the only reason we had a chance tonight was due to talent differential. His decision to keep benching Anderson is just asinine...and I'm not one of the Anderson is God posters on this site.
  2. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Sep 2, 2006 -> 03:19 AM) He doesn't even talk about defense anymore. I don't think he considers it important anymore. Ozzie has a him against the world attitude right now...and it's hurting our team.
  3. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Sep 2, 2006 -> 03:18 AM) I hate game threads like the one today. My ignore list has reached 31. Personally, I'm not a big fan of saying "f*** player". If you're going to say something like that, at least state why you're saying that.
  4. QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 2, 2006 -> 03:18 AM) This is not meant as a flame of our beloved team, which still could easily make the playoffs: Are the Royals as good as we are? Right now, their offense has a better approach than ours and is more versatile. The bottom of their order sucks though...just like the #8 and #1 hitter of the Sox. Their pitching is brutal though.
  5. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Sep 2, 2006 -> 03:16 AM) As much as everyone loves to b****, whine, and complain about it being the offense and Ozzie's fault, it was once again our s***ty pitching with no help from the defense... Don Cooper doesn't deserve his pay checks this season.
  6. QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 2, 2006 -> 03:14 AM) Blaming Ozzie is childish, at least that's my opinion. Get creative. Greg....HE KEEPS MAKING THE SAME FREAKING COACHING MISTAKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Playing Pods is pointless, and Mackowiak over Anderson in CF at least twice a week is one of the most puzzling managerial decisions I've ever seen.
  7. Tonight was a great example of station-to-station, swing for the fences baseball. All I know is that Gload deserves to start against righties...and Pods deserves to never start another freaking game.
  8. QUOTE(Maverick0984 @ Sep 2, 2006 -> 03:11 AM) leave Crede alone Sorry, two pop ups with the bases loaded in the 8th or 9th inning deserve criticism. I'm still waiting for him to regain his reign as the clutch god. It's been a long time since he delivered late in the game.
  9. I hope our manager and LF get lost on the way to the ballpark tomorrow.
  10. Great pitch to hit...just couldn't get the clutch hit.
  11. We'll either see a homer, a double play, or a pop up that he shrugs his shoulders after he hits it.
  12. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 2, 2006 -> 02:59 AM) His speed thingy is broken. Its been broken since about July 20th of last year. Remember Alex Sanchez?
  13. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Sep 2, 2006 -> 02:58 AM) Why can't Pods run through first base just once. Cause he's not healthy?
  14. He's so freaking slow. Way too hustle all the way through the base.
  15. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Sep 2, 2006 -> 02:53 AM) Haeger's fastball about as fast as Freddy's. Give it two more weeks, and it'll be faster than Buehrle and Contreras also. Great job by the call-ups tonight!!! QUOTE(beautox @ Sep 2, 2006 -> 02:54 AM) how would everyone feel about dealing, Vazquez + Garcia + Count? for Broadway McCarthy Haeger? I love 60-102 teams
  16. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Sep 2, 2006 -> 02:53 AM) Haeger making a case to replace one of our floundering starters. He's not f***in Cy Young.
  17. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Sep 2, 2006 -> 02:51 AM) Um, the grand slam against the Royals in the game where Contreras gave up a bunch of runs? Too bad it wasn't tonight's game. Yeah, that was the last time I could think of him getting a hit. I looked it up though, and he just hasn't been playing a lot recently.
  18. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 2, 2006 -> 02:49 AM) He's 1/4 today. I must have missed that hit...what inning was it in? QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 2, 2006 -> 02:50 AM) That was a tard swing. Dip your shoulder and put it in the air. Can we hire someone who teaches a line drive swing. This dip and pull crap is dumb. It's amazing how well Thome would have fit in with the 2002-2004 Sox.
  19. Another example of how our bench suffers when Mackowiak starts.
  20. I can't remember the last time Cintron got a hit. HEY OZZIE....PLAY OUR f***ING STARTERS!
  21. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 2, 2006 -> 02:43 AM) Ozzie must hate Anderson. Prancer will get to hit in this situation, but our guy hititng 300 over the last few months is incapable to come up here. This is a sign that Ozzie will start Mack in CF in the playoffs. If he cant trust him here against the Royals, what happens in a big game in October. Ozzie's going to be coaching Mackowiak in the Dominican Winter League?
  22. Kinda funny that everyone who has gone up there with a good plan this inning has reached, and the two guys who were trying to hit homers made outs.
  23. Crede got some great pitches to hit....too bad he got under it.
