  1. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 02:05 AM) Do not go back and make me find this. You have said a few times you think the Tribe will be much, much better next season. I dont see it. Ah, ok. I wasn't sure what you were referring to. I do think they'll be real solid, as they'll spend their money to upgrade the bullpen. They have a good core base of players, and I think their C.C., Sowers, Lee, W'brook top of the rotation is solid.
  2. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 02:04 AM) Ask Fathom.... What's this?
  3. Good thing the Indians didn't try to win this game.
  4. Well...the Twins are going to win this game. Pathetic range by the SS there.
  5. 2 on, no outs and Mauer is on deck.
  6. Leadoff man on for the Twins.
  7. Top of the 5th starts with Inglett unable to field a routine grounder.
  8. What a terrific relay by the Twins on that double.
  9. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 12:13 AM) what was the call? against Moroneau? glad to see they escaped with the lead. They're getting their hits against satan On Cuddyer's infield hit, he was easily out by half a stride.
  10. Twins threatening in the 4th inning after an absolutely awful call at first base.
  11. Young is a great player...and also a great teammate. I can't imagine the Rangers would trade him. The only type of player I could see them trading him for is a superstar starting pitcher, like Oswalt. A more likely option to be on the market, and who I could see KW making a run at, is Vernon Wells. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 04:40 PM) Young would make this lineup very very dangerous. He is a clutch hitter, and brings a high avg singles hitter into a lineup of power guys. SSI would never be able to criticize his approach at the plate, as he's one of the best hitters in baseball in regards to shooting the outside pitch to right field.
  12. 7-4 now. I still laugh at people who said Hunter wouldn't be an offensive upgrade over Anderson this season.
  13. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 01:30 AM) Looks to me Saturday is the only shot the Tribe has, maybe Sunday. Is Garza going to be able to go by Sunday? Can I be Mr. Pessimism and predict the Twins have a 95 pct chance of winning the Santana/Carmona match-up?
  14. The Twins are well on their way to seeing over 200 pitches tonight.
  15. This Indians pitcher is pathetic.
  16. The Indians continue to bring in crappy young reliever after crappy young reliever, and the Twins are about to blow this game wide open. It's amazing the concentration the Twins have had at the plate tonight.
  17. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 01:07 AM) C'mon Tribe, we could use some help. I can't remember the last time a team stepped up and helped us by sweeping the Twins during the last month of the season over the past 5 years or so. Boof's turned into a good starter for the Twins.
  18. Watching how bad the Indians look, it's really a shame we split that series with them.
  19. Is Jason Michaels only good against the Sox?
  20. Twins take the lead. They've been amazingly patient so far tonight.
  21. This umpire has a very tiny zone, and the Twins are being very patient.
  22. MacDougal has tightness in his right shoulder, but thinks he'll be available to go on Friday. Personally, Ozzie has got to avoid pitching him more than one inning in an outing. Also, Jenks is getting tired of the velocity questions. The scary thing is how much his response sounds like Billy Koch a few years ago. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...-home-headlines
  23. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Sep 14, 2006 -> 12:09 AM) I find it hard to believe the Sox have been so patient with Crede only to trade him away when all their patience pays off. I'd would be absolutely stunned if he is traded unless the concern about his back is what fuels it. They still have time to deal with Boras, or maybe Crede dumps him to try to get a deal done. I think its a better bet you'll be able to tour a peaceful Middle East, than see Boras hammering out a long-term contract for a major player with JR. Crede's not going anywhere. The second Ozzie put Fields in LF today, that sealed Crede's fate, IMO. BTW, how much most Pods suck for Rongey to say that he's been bad this year? Rongey was ripping on Pods today, and said that we'll have a new LF next year.
  24. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 10:17 PM) They are gonna be hatin life if he has to have surgery and is gone for next year too. Wouldn't it be funny if Boof ends up being the more valuable player in that acquisition than Liriano. Of course, that Nathan guy is pretty good.
  25. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 10:09 PM) I know, I know. I'm just being silly. Ah...no problem. Let's wrap this thing up today, and then I know everyone on this site will relax tomorrow and enjoy the off day.
