  1. Here comes another overrated Sox player...Sean Tracey. A 4.30 ERA in a terrible league of hitting doesn't strike me as someone who should be pitching during a pennant race.
  2. At least McCarthy would fit in with our other starters, as his ERA is nearing 5.
  3. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 08:40 PM) Time for Boone to get raped by the Indians again. Time for Boone to stay in the minors for a few years and stop f***ing our major league team almost every time he gets into the game.
  4. This is pathetic...absolutely pathetic. Ozzie Guillen is just clueless.
  5. Boone has just as much to do with us losing right now as anyone, as his pathetic performance last night made the game closer.
  6. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 08:38 PM) Holy s***. You'd think that with 4 relievers in 1 inning that at least one of them wouldn't be terrible. Who's more overrated by White Sox fans: Brandon McCarthy or Brian Anderson?
  7. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 08:35 PM) Our whole team is so ridiculously predictable, in good and bad ways. Yep...which mean we'll be lucky to win 2 games on the west coast trip. With the Twins getting Liriano back....we're in a lot of trouble. Bonser would now be like our 2nd best pitcher. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 08:36 PM) It just makes up for all the terribly-pitched games that he won. It's basically karma. He still choked in the 6th inning.
  8. QUOTE(ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 08:35 PM) Vazquez deserved to win today and in Boston but will get neither thanks to our so very consistent offense...pathetic We have to stop playing Thome against lefties. I can't remember the last time he got a hit against them when he starts. Ozzie's doing his best to put every one of our awful relievers in for this inning.
  9. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 08:33 PM) Despite the dislike for Riske on here, he's been fairly good with us. Hopefully he can get the job done here. He's absolutely terrible in tight games. He's probably one of the least clutch pitchers in all of baseball.
  10. I love how we keep throwing fastballs down the plate when they're ahead in the count. Riske's fastball is awful.
  11. QUOTE(tony72 @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 08:32 PM) Exactly.. and it always seems like our bad ones come in in the close games or pressure situations when runners are on... Meanwhile, the Twins develop guys like Reyes and Neshek into relievers that they can count on.
  12. QUOTE(G&T @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 08:30 PM) I'm going to defend Ozzie for the moves today. This team really needed BMac to eat a couple innings today because the load has been too big on Thornton and MacDougal has an injury history so you don't want to push him too hard. Unfortunately this pen blows. Plain and simple, we have 3 relievers we can count on. The rest have been extremely disappointing this season.
  13. QUOTE(brijames @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 08:29 PM) The Tigers are giving the White Sox the playoffs and they refuse to take it. How bad is it going to be to have to watch the Tigers in the post season while the Sox are golfing. The Angels, if they get hot, could be a threat to win the WC.
  14. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 08:19 PM) And... AGAIN, Vazquez stepped up. WTG, JAVY! He pitched good, but I'm not about to start praising him like he's Cy Young. He still suffered his 6th inning mental breakdown, and with the way our offense was swinging today, we needed him to limit the Indians to 1 run or less.
  15. That's like the third homer VMart has hit against this year because we throw a 3-0 fastball down the freaking plate.
  16. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 08:27 PM) Every single righty better be pinch hitting this next inning. We'll let Thome hit and K again....don't worry.
  17. Can we just boo Ozzie and McCarthy out of the freaking stadium? If McCarthy hadn't sucked last night, then MacDougal and Thornton might have been fresh for tonight.
  18. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 08:25 PM) The way Ozzie uses McCarthy makes me hate him. He's just a pathetic reliever. Yep...he sucks now. I hope KW knew what he was doing when he refused to trade him.
  19. McCarthy got away with a meatball to Michaels last inning....so we leave him in to face a guy who's destroying righties lately. Great managing.
  20. Awful! Why would you just pipe a pitch like that? MCCARTHY CAN'T BE PITCHING IN A CLOSE GAME!!!!!!!
  21. I would have liked to see Thornton start this inning.
  22. QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 08:21 PM) Didn't Ozzie threaten to dump him publicly three games ago? But...but...but...Ozzie knows how to handle his players. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 08:22 PM) Our approach is terrible. You'd think Ozzie or Walker would have something to say about this. We can't lose another game because we refuse to get any kind of hits besides homers. Can McCarthy not allow a homer this inning?
  23. QUOTE(3E8 @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 08:21 PM) Well like you said earlier I agree that our best shot against CC is to be ready early in the count for fastballs so it's kind of a double-edged sword. Yes, so if he's going to swing, don't take the half-assed approach he's been doing today. He looks like a pitcher at the plate too often.
  24. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 08:20 PM) Can the Sox score before the Bears offense does, LOL. Nope
  25. Yep...we're definitely trying to make sure C.C. can finish this game.
