QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 4, 2006 -> 07:01 PM) Well that was nice. It set up our 7-8-9 quite nicely for next inning. Any word today about Thome?

QUOTE(JimH @ Jun 4, 2006 -> 06:55 PM) For any of you people who dislike Harrelson and Jackson, they are dispersing excellent baseball strategy info today that only insiders would know. Great stuff. DJ is talking about almost every Texas hitter and how to approach them. I think DJ is becoming a terrific announcer. He's been more critical this season, which is needed to offset some of Hawk's homerism.

QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 4, 2006 -> 06:52 PM) Not even close. I assume he was referring to MLB starters. I haven't looked at the league statistics, but does he have the lowest batting average among guys with over 100 ABs?

Good job overcoming the leadoff double.

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jun 4, 2006 -> 06:50 PM) Anybody else? I wish our hitters had half of the plan at the plate that the Rangers hitters do.

QUOTE(Ndgt10 @ Jun 4, 2006 -> 06:49 PM) Is BA the worst hitter in baseball? Yes

Buehrle's going outside a lot again, and they're hitting it hard.

PK is all out of sorts at the plate. He's trying to hard to let the ball get to him, and he's jamming himself because of it. I don't want our power hitter trying to be a singles hitter to the opposite field.

QUOTE(Grindersrule @ Jun 4, 2006 -> 06:46 PM) Does anybody like Ozuna as DH while Thome sits? Pods in left, Gload back on the bench. That's what I was going to suggest today.

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 4, 2006 -> 06:45 PM) Don't blame Buehrle for Pablo, and for Anderson's inability to back him up on that play. He still threw the cookie to the #9 hitter, and had to put Young on base because he fell behind in the count.

QUOTE(Wedge @ Jun 4, 2006 -> 06:43 PM) is it just me or does it seem like whereas we had about a play a game in 2005 that saved us, we have a play a game that kills us this year? It seems like we have more than just one play every game. Our defense has been atrocious.

QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 4, 2006 -> 06:42 PM) Sheesh. He's under .160 now. This is a serious question for my fellow Sox fans....are you more surprised when Anderson gets a hit than any other Sox player in the last 10-20 years?

QUOTE(JimH @ Jun 4, 2006 -> 06:40 PM) It looks like the Three Stooges out there in left and center. What is the reason why Anderson is not backing up Ozuna there? My guess is brain cramp. When are we going to stop playing someone in LF that has absolutely no clue out there? There's no excuse for a WS contender to have such a butcher playing out there.

Nice to see Buehrle keep the lead.....NOT

QUOTE(Ndgt10 @ Jun 4, 2006 -> 06:38 PM) Anderson doesn't know how to back up. He just cost us a run you BA loving enthuasists. If Mackowiak made the three mental mistakes that Anderson already has, I could just imagine the outrage on here.

And that's why Ozuna can't be playing in the outfield. WHEN IN THE f*** IS OZZIE GOING TO LEARN? Anderson needs to get his head out of his ass.

Young's hitting well over .400 vs LHP this year.

Can Buehrle pitch with the lead?

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 4, 2006 -> 06:26 PM) If it was Mack, everyone here would be all over him. Just making sure it goes both ways. I definitely agree with you on this point.

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 4, 2006 -> 06:23 PM) BA is lucky that Buerhle pitched over it. THat was terrible backup. Jogging over then lunging for it with one hand. Cmon BA, if you can't hit, you gotta be in the right position. Wow, you actually sound like me there. Wow....Crede crushed that!

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 4, 2006 -> 06:21 PM) Where was the backup. WTF was BA doing? I think he thought he had a chance at it also, and ended up getting caught too close to Ozuna.

Ozuna got a pretty good jump on that liner by Blalock. And I didn't see a good replay, but I have a feeling he didn't get a great jump on that bloop double.

Is that 17 straight Sox batters retired? I can't recall if a Sox hitter reached in the 8th inning last night.
