  1. QUOTE(JimH @ Jun 4, 2006 -> 04:27 PM) Javier Lopez hasn't pitched quite as well as his numbers indicate. He would frustrate this board to no end. I have listened and watched a lot of their games, he seems to go full count on a lot of guys and he gives up his share of hits. This is not to say he's pitched badly ... he hasn't and his numbers show that. Just saying he hasn't been as dominant as his numbers might indicate. Also, as I said earlier in the week, the hitting in the International League is pathetic this year. Take a look at the ERAs around the league. Everyone is in the low 3s, it seems like.
  2. QUOTE(whitesox1976 @ Jun 4, 2006 -> 03:27 AM) It was good to get back in the win colum again. Bobby Jenks pitched great, I can see putting Anderson in CF but putting Mac in left I don't quite figure that one out either. Goes to show you what the organization thinks about Podsednik's defense.
  3. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jun 4, 2006 -> 02:28 AM) No. More importantly, we didn't lose ground. Actually, we gained a game on the Yanks and Red Sox, which could be important down the road. At this point, I'm not worried about the standings at all.
  4. Very nice win tonight. It feels like the Rangers completely outplayed us besides the 4th inning, but that's the way it goes sometimes. Great defense in the 8th inning.

QUOTE(Felix @ Jun 4, 2006 -> 01:24 AM) How about no? He's overpaid, injury prone, and old. Oh yea, and he's making money through 2024. If JR's willing to pay his contract, then bring him on.
  6. Wow....we caught a break there. Good hustle by Mackowiak, and a nice job by Cintron staying back. I'm not posting anymore tonight....so bring us home a win boys!
  7. Cintron trying to hit it 450 feet.
  8. Padilla got himself all worried about Crede, and it threw off his mechanics. If they don't get this runner in....it's not going to be pretty around here.
  9. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 4, 2006 -> 12:22 AM) I was going to post a lot of these , but I wanted to be nice. Yep, I was expecting a few of those. I'll gladly take one for the team.
  10. Come on boys...make jphat's day by shutting me up.
  11. Here comes an inning full of great swings by the Sox hitters. If the Sox score a run this inning, I won't post the rest of the game!
  12. QUOTE(peanut33tillman @ Jun 4, 2006 -> 12:15 AM) I dont know how we've faired against Texas but I swear to god it seems as if we can't ever beat these assholes 3-6 last year
  13. QUOTE(greg775 @ Jun 4, 2006 -> 12:11 AM) Since when did the Rangers pitching staff get good. s***. Have you seen our lineup? It looks like a split-squad team.
  14. Everyone's swinging out of their ass with RISP.
  15. Well....that was absolutely pathetic.
  16. Iguchi is a lucky, lucky man.
  17. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 3, 2006 -> 11:56 PM) Awesome job Javy. If only you could read this thread. :headshake
  18. Good job by Vazquez keeping us in the game.
  19. Vazquez went back to his fastball, and got two outs. Kinsler is a huge batter in this game.
  20. QUOTE(Felix @ Jun 3, 2006 -> 11:52 PM) That was horrible Vazquez. Just horrible. He's the king of the big inning. This game's one swing from being over.
  21. Vazquez is in full meltdown mode now. I love how the Rangers didn't give up the first out of the inning by having Young bunt.
  22. Bases loaded, no outs. Cintron sure doesn't have any range.
  23. I can't believe someone said that Matthews Jr. wouldn't be an upgrade over our current CF situation. Time to avoid the typical Vazquez big inning.
  24. Had to listen to the first 2 innings on the radio. So far, it sounds like 3/4 of our infield has been unable to make a play. Vazquez sounds like he has good stuff. Get well soon Thome!
