White Sox vs. Indians, 5/31/06
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 01:40 AM) Politte is getting hit hard. On the Score today they were pimping that Kenny wants Cesar Izturus who is still rehabbing. That he is on Kennys radar. KW's going to have to give up a lot more than Izturis is worth if we trade for him. I'm not a fan of Izturis, especially after his major surgery.

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 01:37 AM) And Texas would trade him because? I don't think they would. I brought him up earlier because DAllen mentioned his name. I think Anderson's struggles have really put us in a hole, and there's not much we can do about it.

White Sox vs. Indians, 5/31/06
QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 01:34 AM) Well from what I know he's been on a lot of teams since he's been in the league and his career BA is under .250. Why should I be impressed? His OPS over his last 2 1/3 seasons is easily over .800, he plays a very good defensive CF, is a switch hitter, and is a great team player.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 01:33 AM) Our starting pitching has been s***ty outside of Vazquez on Monday since the As series. Back to back crap games for Garcia. Garcia wasn't going to keep facing struggling hitting teams like the Cubs and Angels.

I don't give a s*** what you guys all say. I was able to trade for Sizemore for my XBox season.

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 01:31 AM) So far Lew Ford, Gary Matthews and Ryan Church don't sound like much to me. How can you not think that GM Jr. wouldn't be a huge addition? He's definitely better than what we have right now. However, I can't see the Rangers trading him.

QUOTE(JimH @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 01:22 AM) Sounds a lot like a SSH/Jabroni post. Just saying. Did something happen to SSH while I was gone?

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 01:20 AM) He is making awesome pitches tonight. Knibbling the corners, making sinkerballs strikes when he has to. He has effectively taken our offense out of any rythmn. Sinker ballers always gives us, and other power teams, problems when they're keeping the ball down. We're not the type of team to put together 4 straight hits the opposite way, etc.

QUOTE(ThinWhiteDuque @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 01:19 AM) When you have two other position players hitting like pitchers (SS, CF), you can't afford to have Vince Coleman in your lineup as well. 80 pct of the teams would gladly trade their leadoff hitter for what Pods gives a team. It's not Pods fault that we can't produce offensive talent from our minors, and Uribe is clueless at the plate.

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 01:19 AM) I know you said it earlier this year. We've all been saying it. It still really hasn't felt like this team has fired on all cylinders. We saw what the pitching was capable of last year. It doesn't seem like we've had that going at the same time as the offense. Do you think the pitching's going to come around to the point it's dominant though? We've faced almost all of the worst hitting teams in the AL already. Everyone knows the Cell becomes a launching pad when it gets hot out.

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 01:18 AM) How can you not be a fan of Pods after what he has done the last year and a half? I just don't understand it. I think it's cause of the Sizemore vs Pods argument with you. Pods is actually one of my favorite players off the field. I just think that for a speed player, he's very poor fundamentally.

White Sox vs. Indians, 5/31/06
Quick question....why does Hawk keep saying we haven't clicked all year? We had like 6 guys in the lineup hot at the same time for 3 weeks. Not many teams get that fortunate the whole season.

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 01:16 AM) Whatever you say man. lol His .371 OBP is just fine by me. His job is to get on base. He is not a hole in the lineup. I'm not a fan of Pods, but he's the least of our worries right now. He's been doing a terrific job lately.

QUOTE(Chet @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 01:15 AM) You think in September, we will regret that we once rooted for NY to beat Detroit? Hopefully, we won't be worrying about the Wild Card though. That's a fantastic point. I'm still much more concerned about the Indians in the long run, even though I think the Tigers are a good team.

Is it being a bad fan to hope Politte gets rocked here, and makes the Sox consider another pitching roster move?

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 01:12 AM) Names please? I have no clue who's available. However, I honestly don't think we make the playoffs with our current situation in CF. You look at teams like the Indians and Tigers, and they don't have such a glaring hole on their field....we have two of them right now.

White Sox vs. Indians, 5/31/06
You know things are bad when people are clamoring that a different player should be in the game....the same player who's one of the worst hitters in the majors.

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 01:10 AM) Hopefully every person who ran and ran their mouth about Anderson today just saw Mackowiak try to make that play in center. I ran my mouth, and the reason is that I think there needs to be a total change. We need to acquire a new CF. This team isn't good enough to have two total holes in the lineup, and it's easier to find another outfielder than it is a new SS.

White Sox vs. Indians, 5/31/06
Sizemore's a f***ing stud, our center field position is a f***ing joke right now, and Ozzie leaves his starters in way too long.

This is the flatest we've been all season.

White Sox vs. Indians, 5/31/06
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 12:33 AM) wow, the indians are on fire. FG has good stuff, and the tribe is getting extremely lucky with hitting good pitches. Freddy has some good offspeed stuff, but the Indians are able to cheat on that pitch because they don't have to protect against a strong fastball.

White Sox vs. Indians, 5/31/06
Garcia just has no chance to keep this lineup down.

White Sox vs. Indians, 5/31/06
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 12:23 AM) Uribe just needs to let the ball get a bit deeper. That's something the leg kick timing mechanism would really help.

QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 12:00 AM) that double looked down and in to Michaels - not a bad pitch. time to click right here That's the disturbing part...it was a high, inside fastball. However, Garcia lacks the velocity to get that past hitters.
