  1. Terrible AB by Iguchi. He looks like he's lost focus at the plate, which is what happened when he got fatigued last season.
  2. QUOTE(Ndgt10 @ May 16, 2006 -> 11:57 PM) Iguchi has looked like crap recently. Can Ozuna play 2b?
  3. Excellent jump by Pods. Probably the best one I've seen him have all year.
  4. Ah....Lugo on defense. BTW...why does it seem like when we play at Tampa, they play like the slugging team, and we have warning track power?
  5. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 16, 2006 -> 11:53 PM) I can't wait for Contreras to come back. We've basically only seen s***ty starting pitching ever since he went down. Thankfully Garcia is rounding into shape.
  6. It seems like everything McCarthy is throwing is over the plate. He's not trying to bust the righties inside, and they're able to look over the plate.
  7. Wow....keep the ball down. McCarthy's offspeed pitches are nowhere near as sharp as they were last season.
  8. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 16, 2006 -> 11:44 PM) Wow. Do you watch any other games besides Sox games? Haha....congrats on being the first person to tell jphat not to worry.
  9. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 16, 2006 -> 11:40 PM) So we're supposed to stay up all night worrying about them when there's a much better team 1 game behind us? We should root for KC to beat any team that they play, besides the White Sox. And two months into the season, it's dumb to be saying that the Tigers are more of a threat than Indians. Hell, in the long run, the Twins might be the biggest threat.
  10. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 16, 2006 -> 11:23 PM) Cleveland irrelevant right now. They're absolutely relevant. Did people learn nothing from last season? They have enough talent to put together a substained run.
  11. It will be interesting to see what the lineup's like tonight. Lefties don't hit Kazmir very good. However, I can't see Ozzie taking Pods out of the lineup right now.
  12. Great stuff by Jenks. Very good comeback by the team.
  13. Great managing by Gardy here.
  14. There was definitely a change in our hitting philosophy from the 5th inning on. Lots of uppercut swings....which doesn't exactly work if you're not facing Silva.
  15. QUOTE(jphat007 @ May 15, 2006 -> 02:47 AM) Which is okay by me. And I'm only kinda kidding. Redmond has been pretty awesome the last few years. He destroys soft-tossing lefties. I remember that he absolutely owned Glavine when he was the back-up on the Marlins.
  16. Ok....good move by Ozzie. I thought AJP had him out at 2nd base, but you're not getting that call in that situation.
  17. QUOTE(jphat007 @ May 15, 2006 -> 02:43 AM) That's alright. No chance there. Yep...looking at the replay, that play had a recipe for disaster. Iguchi almost tripped over his own feet, and he didn't have a lot of control on his toss. I like the move to Jenks here. Castillo has a lot more power vs lhp.
  18. Ugh....you have to throw strikes in that situation.
  19. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 15, 2006 -> 02:37 AM) Don't know where you're going Gooch. He has to protect better in a situation like that. He's been fouling off a ton of hittable pitches.
  20. Good job Neal! Lets get some runners this inning.
  21. Whew! That was close. Anderson barely got the glove up in time to catch it.
  22. QUOTE(quickman @ May 15, 2006 -> 02:22 AM) We need another arm in the pen quickly, within a few weeks. I honestly think that Politte stole Vizcaino's arm this season.
  23. Cliff's not going to consistently get hitters out though, like he did last year, until he can get a strike inside.
