  1. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ May 17, 2006 -> 01:15 AM) There is a part of me that in games like this wants Logan and Montero to be shelled just to make it look that much worse to make getting another arm in here happen quicker. I have all the faith in the world Kenny will get something done. I'm not going to lie....I wanted Boone to give up 100 runs this inning.
  2. Well....J. Jones just got doubled off on another fly ball to the left fielder.
  3. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 17, 2006 -> 01:13 AM) Logan = 5.68 ERA. Goes to show you how deceiving relievers ERA can be.
  4. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ May 17, 2006 -> 01:11 AM) Did you expect them to go 120-40? Its going to happen, glad its now and not in September. (BTW, I dont even think there in a funk. They got owned by the Cy Young winner, Saturdays game was just f***ed up, and tonight was a bad matchup on a few levels.) I seriously think some people expected our hitters to continue to be hot and for Thome to homer every other game. Get off this f***ing team Logan.
  5. QUOTE(aboz56 @ May 17, 2006 -> 01:11 AM) This is Boone's Paniagua moment. You know, the moment when you completely suck ass and then vanish from the White Sox roster. I honestly will be surprised if he makes it back up to the majors once he gets sent down.
  6. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ May 17, 2006 -> 01:07 AM) their roster hasn't really changed too much. So they went through a collective team slump for 6 weeks. It's not totally impossible, you know. Huff is a good hitter. Crawford is a good hitter. I'd take the Rays lineup over the current Flubs one. Are we talking about the same team that's hitting .230 this year? Huff's bat speed is extremely slow (talk about a prime juicer candidate), their best hitter is injured, and most of their guys are struggling.
  7. Why not give Lopez a chance, and do the right thing for Boone and send him to AA?
  8. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ May 17, 2006 -> 01:04 AM) If we were winning this game 10-6 against any other starter on their roster, this thread wouldn't have any such complaints. The Rays hit very well last season, and are known for hitting well and pitching like s***. That was last season. Their hitting, besides Gomes, has been pathetic this season.
  9. QUOTE(jphat007 @ May 17, 2006 -> 01:03 AM) Sarcasm much. Or just exaggeration for effect. Yes and no. I think that when you have a bunch of 9 million dollar a year pitchers like we have, you should be able to be in every game. However, I also don't think that our collection of talent is worthy of being inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame, like our trusty announcer does.
  10. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 17, 2006 -> 01:00 AM) His ADD is quite bad though, sometimes they have to remind him he is due up to bat. I heard that, but it's not like he started picking flowers on the field while going to first base.
  11. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 17, 2006 -> 01:00 AM) We got a matchup of our 6th starter against one of the hottest pitchers in the game, our SP was on an 80 pitch count, and our middle relief sucks ass. Did anybody actually expect to win this game? We had very little chance, similar to last Friday at Minnesota with Johan vs. Garland. Hopefully Jon pitches decent tomorrow and we light up sorry ass Seth McClung, and then Javy can win series Thursday. With a 100 million dollar payroll, you should be in every game.
  12. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ May 17, 2006 -> 12:59 AM) More? He hasn't had much at all. I have said it before, I think Logan can be a good major league pitcher, but he should have been no where near the major league club. Send him to AA, get him some solid, consistent innings in, and bring up Lopez for the time being until Nelson is ready. It's quite simple....Logan's nowhere near ready to pitch in the majors.
  13. QUOTE(whitesoxin @ May 17, 2006 -> 12:59 AM) Well LaRoche suffers from a bad case of ADD, so that's understandable. I can't believe they blamed that on his ADD. Quite simply, he got lazy, and Johnson showed great hustle.
  14. Even if Nelson is only throwing 85 mph, I'd rather have him called up than have Logan's pathetic ass pitching. At least Nelson can be brought up for one or two big righties (Gomes, Aramis, etc.).
  15. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ May 17, 2006 -> 12:54 AM) ... And why were we confident that we could win the games without Count in the rotation? I was confident that McCarthy could pitch well, but I'm so f***ing sick of seeing the minor league guys on the mound (Logan, Haeger, Montero). For all the talk about how KW did a great job of giving this team depth in the offseason, our lack of another reliever is really hurting.
  16. QUOTE(jphat007 @ May 17, 2006 -> 12:53 AM) There was some REAL good speed aboard. At least they f***ed up Cleveland last year. Yeah, Gathright, Lugo, and Crawford's about as good as it gets.
  17. This is one of the worst individual performances I've ever seen. Why in the hell did we leave him in to face a great righty hitter? Enjoy your trip back to the minors Boone, and I'll bet a lot of money you'll never be in the majors again.
  18. Send his f***ing ass down.........PLEASE!!!! This is a disgrace to this team.
  19. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 17, 2006 -> 12:49 AM) I can't help it, I really hate Boone Logan. This guy is a f***ing joke. Flat out, he has no business being on a team in the majors, let alone AAA.
  20. And we're self-destructing. This game's one hit away from being a lost cause.
  21. How has Nelson done since his first game? I can't wait to promote Contreras and Nelson, and send down Logan and Montero.
  22. Everything about Logan irks me. It was obvious he was throwing that away the second the bunt went down.
  23. McCarthy's going to be a very good starter in this league. This is all worthless speculation now, but I'd much rather have him as a starter for a full season than Garland.
  24. Logan and Montero warming up? Since when did Comcast start broadcasting Winston-Salem games?
