  1. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ May 31, 2006 -> 01:14 AM) The vulchers are really circling the non-hitting carcass of Brian Anderson tonight. About dam time! It's just amazing how consistently bad he's been this year. He had a stretch on the west coast where he was getting a favorable count in a lot of ABs. Besides that, he's been awful at the plate. And lets be honest...he's not hitting into bad luck either.
  2. f***....PK couldn't have asked for a better pitch to hit. Way too many uppercut swings the last two innings.
  3. QUOTE(PeoriaSoxFan @ May 31, 2006 -> 01:12 AM) 2nd guessing, but why not put Pods in now for Pablo, with the righty pitching? Ozuna is brutal in LF> Pablo deserves the AB. He has just as good of a chance of getting on as anyone else.
  4. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ May 31, 2006 -> 01:10 AM) Wait, why would that help the situation? It wouldn't at all. However, just cause someone plays good defense in CF, it doesn't mean they deserve to keep playing on the big league level (especially a WS contender).
  5. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ May 31, 2006 -> 01:08 AM) I almost wish BA would start sucking in the outfield... atleast then they would have more fuel to get him out of here. But damn, this kid has skills in the outfield. He's so, so good. Why don't we use the DH on the CF, and actually hit the pitcher? Haha, that would he awesome. Might as well sign Darren Lewis then. He can play a great center field, and he could hit about .150 now.
  6. QUOTE(JimH @ May 31, 2006 -> 01:06 AM) They still need a RH hitting OF who can play all three positions and preferably can run a bit. Who do the Pirates have on their 40 man, they would love a White Sox pitching prospect. I saw Luis Terrero play over the wknd for Ottawa, and he didn't impress me too much. The Pirates only good outfielder is Bay.
  7. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 31, 2006 -> 01:02 AM) I would doubt it. Its not like its Jon Garland he's batting against. Yes, but the Ozzie stuff came out before we had to face the lefties. Now that we're done facing them, it wouldn't stun me. The only problem is that we have absolutely no one we could call up to replace him.
  8. The Tigers 8-9 has 19 combined homers. I don't know if our 8-9 has 19 combined hits.
  9. Anyone think Anderson's going to get shipped out after tonight?
  10. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ May 31, 2006 -> 12:51 AM) Well you whine about everything else. Why not this? Get off my f***ing back. You've been talking s*** to me the last few weeks, and it's been unprovoked.
  11. Very undiscipline swings for our last two batters.....what else is new from the bottom of our order?
  12. Fantastic base running
  13. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ May 31, 2006 -> 12:46 AM) I know! How the f*** can a guy make 16 outs with RISP. f***ing Konerko. I really hope that wasn't directed towards me. I know Dye's been amazing with RISP, and just wanted to confirm he was referring to Konerko. If there's anyone who deserves slack with Sox fans, it's PK. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 31, 2006 -> 12:50 AM) I would be thrilled if BA could hit .250 by the end of the year. That's not too likely anymore, though. I'd be satisfied now if he ended up hitting .225 and got hot in time for the playoffs. My prediction is that we'll have a new center fielder by the end of June.
  14. QUOTE(jphat007 @ May 31, 2006 -> 12:44 AM) Cmon SnB, it's not like he has 22 hits in 38 ABs with RISP or anything.....oh, wait. Is that what Konerko is with RISP?
  15. How many fastballs down the cock can you foul off PK? Terrible
  16. Man....Anderson breaks a lot of bats. That's a very telling sign that he's not getting his hands through and letting the bat follow.
  17. QUOTE(jphat007 @ May 31, 2006 -> 12:25 AM) Safe to say that Mark doesn't matchup so well with the Indians most of the time, though there have been some really great starts mixed in there. This Indians lineup seems like it should crush most lefties they face.
  18. Ozzie needs to stop bunting in front of the big boppers. No reason to try and play for one run with those guys coming up. Having Anderson bunt is one thing....but Iguchi shouldn't be bunting in the 3rd.
  19. According to yahoo, the first five balls put in play that inning were hit to a deep part of the park. That's pretty scary.
  20. Looks like I should leave. For those with power out, what happened with the PK play?
  21. Just got back after a nice wknd vacation.....I'm quite satisfied with the games that I was away for. Anyways, Buehrle needs to keep the Indians down here....and we need better defensive play from our corner outfielders.
  22. QUOTE(ottawa_sox @ May 27, 2006 -> 01:41 AM) My main problem with it is the time it would take for him to readjust. Now that he's had plenty of reps in left he reads the ball off the bat fairly well. I don't see him having a problem with center. Except he would take bad routes for too many games. Just say no to Pods in CF. The Sox organization would never even consider it, so it's pointless in arguing about it.
  23. Politte's done with. Thanks for 2005 Cliffy.
  24. For everyone clamoring for Sweeney or Fields to come up.....why in the world would you think that we're going to call up a prospect and they're going to contribute offensively? I wouldn't say our organization is known for developing their prospects into major league-ready hitters.
  25. QUOTE(ottawa_sox @ May 27, 2006 -> 01:35 AM) If Anderson continues to struggle and Fields makes the adjustment to playing in left in Charlotte, we'll see Fields in left and Pods in center before the year is out. And I guarantee you that we wouldn't make the playoffs. That defense would be embarrassingly bad. If Anderson and Mackowiak can't get it done, KW needs to make a move.
