  1. What Dye has done since the bases loaded debacle shows why he's a great veteran team player. Now Everett on the other hand...
  2. Incredible inning! Keep it going.
  3. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Sep 25, 2005 -> 12:04 AM) Were getting ABSOLUTELY no help whatsoever. :banghead It's all up to us. Keep it going guys!! Even though someone tried to argue it, the Yankees lost was huge today. It put both of the AL East teams at 64 losses, which guarantees one of them will end up with no less than 66 losses. Thus, Sox have to win 4 to tie, 5 to guarantee.
  4. Boston just took a 4-2 lead.
  5. What is this? An actual approach at the plate? Beautiful swing by PK.
  6. Hey hey! Keep it going boys. Lets get a few more while Mays is still in the game.
  7. QUOTE(Felix @ Sep 24, 2005 -> 11:55 PM) I like the bunt. I just don't like giving up outs against Mays, but with the way they've been hitting w/RISP, what the hell.
  8. Nice little break there. Iguchi is a very good bunter.
  9. Good job by Pods, nice to see him try to turn on the ball. He seems to be a lot better hitter when he swings hard instead of just trying to serve the ball around the field. No bunting for Iguchi here.
  10. QUOTE(qwerty @ Sep 24, 2005 -> 11:50 PM) Why does everyone insist he is making nine million this year? What is it, like 7 or 8 this year? Since it's a 3/27 deal, it's better just to take the average. And no, I'm not complaining cause he's allowed one run in 3 innings. It's that he continually allows runs after we score.
  11. QUOTE(Felix @ Sep 24, 2005 -> 11:48 PM) Letting up 1 run isnt bad, its when he lets up 5/6 that it becomes bad. But wouldn't it be nice to see him buckle down after we score a run, and let the Sox try to increase the lead?
  12. DJ is not very pleased with Garcia.
  13. There's our 9 million dollar pitcher.
  14. QUOTE(Brian @ Sep 24, 2005 -> 11:44 PM) So if you throw it down the middle at the knees, it is a ball? If it's Mark Buehrle, it's a home run ball
  15. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 24, 2005 -> 11:42 PM) Pods had zero chance to hold him to a single. It would have been fairly close, as Morneau is not very fast. jphat, all I could think of was feeling bad for you when I heard on the radio we were hitting the ball hard right at them.
  16. Just got back home from work to see Garcia look like he's about to do his typical run allowed after the Sox score. Pods continues to shine on defense!
  17. QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Sep 24, 2005 -> 10:53 PM) popped out Baltimore absolutely BLOWS They're really going to end up making this a lot harder for the Sox.
  18. QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Sep 24, 2005 -> 10:50 PM) 2 RISP for BAL 2 outs... I wonder if they'll walk Newhan so Matos can bat with the bases loaded for the 3rd time today?
  19. FWIW, if the White Sox win 5 more games this season, they're guaranteed a playoff spot.
  20. BTW, weren't the Cubs officially eliminated today from the playoffs?
  21. QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Sep 24, 2005 -> 05:37 PM) Fathom, I started a WC Help thread for scores of Boston and NYY if you wanna join me and post there Will do, thanks
  22. ARod homers
  23. Toronto scored 4 in the 1st, and after two batters, it's 4-2 with ARod homering.
  24. Of course we miss their offense. There's no one who thinks the offense is better without them. However, we needed to free up money to fill a lot of holes, and that's what was done. KW had a terrific offseason last year, and I'm eagerly anticipating this coming offseason also.
  25. Yankees are down 3-0 in the first and haven't retired a Jays batter yet.
