  1. QUOTE(Chisoxmatt @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 10:23 PM) ahh ok. you said "make this game up." Yeah, I could have worded it better. But we're on the same page about making this game up the rest of the season. Hopefully, there would be no need to.
  2. QUOTE(Chisoxmatt @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 10:21 PM) we have like 4 off days the rest of the year and no more games vs. the redsox. So no, we dont. I meant tonight....not the rest of the season.
  3. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 10:19 PM) As if Boston crewmembers care about postponing this game with a Yankee victory posted across the Green Monster. Even if Sox happen to lose if this game resumes, I'd rather they finish it now than play a double header in the future. I've seen two games this year where the Cubs withstood ridiculously long (3+ hour) rain delays, yet still played. We don't play Boston the rest of the year. It would take pretty much a fluke in the standings in order for these teams to have to make up the game.
  4. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 10:17 PM) A new update from Hawk, they are waiting for another cell to pass, and after that he says it looks good. They will get this in. The only concern would be blowing out the bullpen. I'd rather get this game in. It would be great for this team to have the confidence that they can win at Fenway if we play Boston in the postseason.
  5. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 10:14 PM) Translation: This game has been called (unofficially) There's still a lot of time to make this game up.
  6. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 10:15 PM) I keep hearing Mike Sweeney may be going to the Angels for prospects. That would make that lineup pretty scary especially against the White Sox. No s***. Vlad's real crushing the ball also.
  7. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 10:11 PM) Considering it is a sellout and no more trips to Boston for the White Sox, they are going to wait until the cows come home or Joe Crede advancing a runner, whichever comes first. That's 38000 tickets the Red Sox would have to reimburse or find seats for. I would say they'd call this game if it's still bad weather out at 7:30.
  8. QUOTE(SnB @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 10:10 PM) As long as we can win a handful amount of games against the Twins the rest of the way, they shouldn't have a chance to catch the Sox.
  9. QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 10:04 PM) and now the shutout is gone 2-1 LA Tough way to lose if that score holds up.
  10. QUOTE(3E8 @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 09:58 PM) You know you can right click and full-screen it right? Where? I right clicked the screen, and got some options. Full screen wasn't one of them.
  11. I'm 99.9 pct sure the Mets have never had a no-hitter? Lets go Pedro!
  12. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 09:53 PM) Hows the picture with that? Is it a little blury on a full screen like the preview or is it like watching tv? My set-up has it as a tiny screen on my computer, but it's crystal clear. I'm very satisfied with it. Everyone knows how picky I am with things, and I can't complain about it. It's great when there's no games on TV.
  13. Pedro thru 7 innings with a no-hitter. I'm already getting a great investment on my mlb.com purchase.
  14. I would love to somehow get a victory after 5 or 6 innings with the game being called. It would definitely fit the bill of what some of us were asking for before the game, when we said the Sox needed to find a way to win this game, no matter how they do it.
  15. With the chance of another storm coming during this game, lets just go with guys like Cotts now instead of Adkins. I have a feeling it will be Viz starting the 4th though.
  16. Am I allowed to get pissed if Duque is on the mound if this game starts up again? BTW, tarp is still on the field.
  17. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 09:40 PM) I had to. Yep, I no I flip-flopped on this. If we're nervous we're going to lose a game where we're up 5-2 with 2 guys on.....then we're a bunch of pussies.
  18. Have they gone back to Hawk for an update? Might as well get this game in today if we can, we have a good shot at winning it.
  19. BTW, if we do start again, Duque better not be on the mound. Absolutely no reason to risk any injury with him.
  20. QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 09:02 PM) http://www.weather.com/weather/local/USMA0...rom=search_city Lots of rain in Boston!!! And Plenty behind it!!! Lets get two more innings in, and call it a night.
