  1. Vizcaino should be in to face the tough lefty here. I thought that's one of the main reasons we got him.
  2. Take him out Ozzie! 5-2, tying run up to bat. Garland's pitches have had no velocity this inning.
  3. Bases loaded for the Mariners. 1 out for Boone.
  4. Ozzie needs to get someone up in the pen. No one is throwing yet.
  5. QUOTE(traydragen @ Apr 16, 2005 -> 01:37 AM) Just got in and what the hell did I see...perfect through 6..hopefully this is a sign of things to come from Judy...I mean John By the way, I know he's pitching great from just the numbers but is everything clicking for him tonight and is he hitting all of his spots or has some of this due to the Mariners hitters?? He's been real good, hitting his spots. Mariners have hit one ball deep. Besides that, nothing out of the ordinary.
  6. 2 out rbi for Uribe! He's swinging great tonight. Also, Bobby Hill just put the Pirates up by 2 against the Cubs in the 8th!
  7. Rowand showed exactly how you're supposed to play a deep flyball before. It was almost exactly the opposite of the way Everett played that triple yesterday.
  8. Rowand swings on first pitch, and grounds out weakly. Pineiro is catching a huge break with the Sox right now, they've let him off the hook for some horrid control.
  9. Jeremy Reed just missed one there. Just a lazy fly to RF. 2 outs for Beltre.
  10. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Apr 16, 2005 -> 12:52 AM) I'm sorry, but that's a pretty pathetic effort through the first three innings by Sox hitters. Pineiro has been absolutely nowhere near the plate, and these guys are swinging at the second pitch. I don't think I've seen Joel throw three pitches in one AB that were over the plate. I don't mean to b****, but I don't like what I'm seeing. That's a real poor job of hitting there... We don't have a lot of real tough outs in our lineup. I said this a few days ago, but we're a very easy team to pitch to. I'm thrilled with our 6-3 record right now, considering we could easily be like 2-7.
  11. We're showing much better patience tonight, but we're still not making very good contact at all.
  12. 2 out walk to Konerko. Pineiro can't throw his fastball for a strike.
  13. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Apr 16, 2005 -> 12:46 AM) Iguchi hits a check swing nubber back to Pinero. 1 out. Iguchi's going to have some difficult games against tough righties. I wouldn't mind Harris getting some more playing time against RHP until Iguchi gets used to inside fastballs.
  14. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Apr 16, 2005 -> 12:38 AM) We got one run. Yet is anyone besides me really dissappointed? There's a case where bunting totally f***ed us over. Normally, I wouldn't b**** like this, but we just totally gave Pineiro a break there. Oh yes, that was terrible f***ing managing. Not only that, but if A.J. got the bunt down, we were giving up an easy out to a pitcher that had walked the first 2 batters. If we had the heart of our order coming up after A.J., that would be one thing. But we had 8 and 9 batters batting after him.
  15. Anyone else annoyed that Hawk said the only thing Timo can't do well is run? How about hit above .250?
  16. Nice play by Boone on the grounder by Timo. Should have got more than 1 run that inning.....but that's what smallball will do for you. You play for one run, that's usually the most you're going to get.
  17. Loaded, 4 pitch walk to Crede. Uribe needs to show some plate discipline here.
  18. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Apr 16, 2005 -> 12:33 AM) I agree. Two straight walks by Pineiro. That's giving him a break. Make him throw strikes. Terrible call by Oz. Especially with Crede up after A.J.
  19. A.J. strikes out looking. Worthless at-bat there, should have been swinging away.
  20. Two failed bunt attempts by A.J. I'm quite confused why he'd be bunting, but Iguchi was not. Especially considering how much better Pineiro is against righties than lefties.
  21. I'd like to see Iguchi bunt with a man on 2nd and no outs because he's going to have a hard time getting the man over to 3rd in those situations. Iguchi struggles with an inside fastball, and that's exactly the pitch that will be called in that situation so he can't just poke the ball to the right side. If you remember, the book on Iguchi during ST was that you can get him out by throwing hard stuff inside.
  22. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Apr 16, 2005 -> 12:09 AM) With all the good LH bats CLE has this is a good test for him. Especially since their on a high after last night's win over the Sox. Thank you Mr Cotts & the great & powerful Oz. All the lefty bats for Cleveland make it easier for Santana. Hafner's not even in the lineup tonight for the Indians.
  23. Doesn't look to be a very good attendance night at this point.
