  1. QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 10:04 PM) and now the shutout is gone 2-1 LA Tough way to lose if that score holds up.
  2. QUOTE(3E8 @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 09:58 PM) You know you can right click and full-screen it right? Where? I right clicked the screen, and got some options. Full screen wasn't one of them.
  3. I'm 99.9 pct sure the Mets have never had a no-hitter? Lets go Pedro!
  4. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 09:53 PM) Hows the picture with that? Is it a little blury on a full screen like the preview or is it like watching tv? My set-up has it as a tiny screen on my computer, but it's crystal clear. I'm very satisfied with it. Everyone knows how picky I am with things, and I can't complain about it. It's great when there's no games on TV.
  5. Pedro thru 7 innings with a no-hitter. I'm already getting a great investment on my mlb.com purchase.
  6. I would love to somehow get a victory after 5 or 6 innings with the game being called. It would definitely fit the bill of what some of us were asking for before the game, when we said the Sox needed to find a way to win this game, no matter how they do it.
  7. With the chance of another storm coming during this game, lets just go with guys like Cotts now instead of Adkins. I have a feeling it will be Viz starting the 4th though.
  8. Am I allowed to get pissed if Duque is on the mound if this game starts up again? BTW, tarp is still on the field.
  9. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 09:40 PM) I had to. Yep, I no I flip-flopped on this. If we're nervous we're going to lose a game where we're up 5-2 with 2 guys on.....then we're a bunch of pussies.
  10. Have they gone back to Hawk for an update? Might as well get this game in today if we can, we have a good shot at winning it.
  11. BTW, if we do start again, Duque better not be on the mound. Absolutely no reason to risk any injury with him.
  12. QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 09:02 PM) http://www.weather.com/weather/local/USMA0...rom=search_city Lots of rain in Boston!!! And Plenty behind it!!! Lets get two more innings in, and call it a night.
  13. QUOTE(Antonio Osuna @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 08:38 PM) BTW, Timo Haters: Timo Time is 2-for-2. Good for him. I like the Sox more than I dislike any of the players on the team, so I'll take any offensive contribution we get. However, feel free to post things like this when Timo goes 0-4.
  14. Clement is hanging a ton of sliders. One good low slider to Uribe, and he'll K though.
  15. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 08:02 PM) Who's worse Crede or Uribe? I would say Crede It's a different answer every other week.
  16. QUOTE(Sox Hustler @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 08:01 PM) lol...so I suppose you would rather have that butcher Ozune at third. Against tough righties like Clement, Blum should be at 3rd base, with Iguchi at 2nd base. Ozuna should never play 3b, unless in an emergency.
  17. QUOTE('94WorldChamps @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 07:58 PM) Is it me, or has Uribe leveled his swing just a tad and is Uribe finally letting the ball get a little deeper on him? The timing isn't there yet - witness the numerous hard-hit foul balls down RF line last night, but I'll take anything I can get from that doofus. Are you talking about Uribe? If so, yes, I agree with you. He's staying on the pitch a lot longer now, and while he still have his bad swings, he's driving the ball to the opposite more.
  18. These fly balls sure seem to have a lot of hang time. Crede has a job to get done here.
  19. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 07:56 PM) Magic # is now 34.......TB sweeps The Tribe IN Cleveland Shut up you pussy! Thanks for ruining the mlbtv.com game. The Indians were still batting when I read you post.
  20. Blum's taking a lot better swings against Clement today. He's faced him quite a few times in his career, so it's good to see him in the lineup.
