Game Thread vs Seattle Aug 26th @ 9:05
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Aug 27, 2005 -> 02:40 AM) I actually did, he seems to do a lot better against pitches down low in the zone, and since Felix has a tailing fastball, I thought Anderson could have done something tonight. True. I thought Felix was a high fastball pitcher. I had no clue he was such a ground ball pitcher. He's going to put up some terrific ERA seasons pitching at this park.

Maybe it's the high camera angle, but Timo looks like he's about 5 feet tall.

Hey Hawk.....Dye had a double!

Game Thread vs Seattle Aug 26th @ 9:05
Holy cow! Congrats to Anderson. I didn't think he had a chance vs Felix....I was wrong.

Way to work the pitcher Uribe

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Aug 27, 2005 -> 02:26 AM) Great AB by Dye, working the counts should be a priority. C'mon Blummy. Yeah, it's surprising that our two best overall hitters weakly grounded out on the first pitch they saw against him.

Pretty good swings by our last few guys. We really have to avoid swinging at that first pitch sinking fastball. His curve is good, but I really think we can put good swings on it.

It's a shame, I think Crede would have had a lot of success vs Felix tonight.

Game Thread vs Seattle Aug 26th @ 9:05
Ozzie should be telling these guys to not swing at the first pitch.
-
Game Thread vs Seattle Aug 26th @ 9:05
That 97 mph sinker is more impressive than his curve.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 27, 2005 -> 02:18 AM) Hutchinson really sucks. That's the understatement of the year. After a while, you have to realize that the offensive coordinators aren't too blame.....but Jerry Angelo is because this offense has no talent.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 27, 2005 -> 02:17 AM) Timo made a stupid mistake, but Everett or Konerko would have had to get a hit to score him. Everett looked like he had no chance. We won't have a chance against Felix if our players take the approach Everett had and swing at the curve in the dirt, and take the curve over the plate. This guy has good stuff......but he's definitely hittable.

Timo sees 6 pitches from Hernandez, and then Iguchi swings at the first pitch and weakly grounds out. Not exactly a good plan if you're trying to get the pitcher out by the 6th inning. Come on Duque, we need you tonight.

I'm so sick of those stupid outs we've been making trying to be too cute. What was Timo even thinking there?

Nomar at 3rd
QUOTE(YASNY @ Aug 27, 2005 -> 01:58 AM) I'd rather have Todd Walker. Definitely, and he's a much more legit option. FWIW, Nomar was never even put on waivers, while Walker has cleared waivers.

9-3 Indians, as they are lighting up one of the better relievers in baseball in Justin Speier.

Game Thread vs Seattle Aug 26th @ 9:05
7-3 Indians after Hafner's 2nd homer of the game. That 3-4-5 of theirs right now is sensational.
-
Game Thread vs Seattle Aug 26th @ 9:05
Indians lead 5-3 going into the 9th.
-
Game Thread vs Seattle Aug 26th @ 9:05
BTW, Griffey Jr. has two homers tonight.
-
Game Thread vs Seattle Aug 26th @ 9:05
5-3 Indians in the top of the 8th.

4-3 Indians after 5 innings. Blue Jays have missed out on some golden opportunities to score.

Game Thread vs Seattle Aug 26th @ 9:05
4-3 Indians lead now. Hopefully Toronto will go to their bullpen soon.

McGowan and his near 9 ERA against the Indians offense = Indians win. C.C. is pitching good enough that he'll have no problem limiting the Jays to 2 or 3 runs.

Indians/Twins Updates
3-0 and still batting in the first against the great Dustin McGowan.
