  1. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 21, 2009 -> 06:47 PM) That s*** got us to re-sign Buehrle! Wasn't that Paulie at the WS rally
  2. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ May 21, 2009 -> 06:39 PM) WE KNOW THIS ALREADY CALM DOWN
  3. QUOTE (BearSox @ May 21, 2009 -> 06:31 PM) It's funny how this is gonna turn out. If Peavy excepts the trade, I love him. If he declines it, he's going into a group of my top 5 most hated ball players. haha exactly...thats why I added the question mark in my sig
  4. QUOTE (WCSox @ May 21, 2009 -> 05:47 PM) I don't understand how the Sox posting the biggest in-season trade since the Freddy Garcia deal on their web site, getting the fan base all riled up, and then dropping the truth on them like a load of bricks is going to sell tickets and merchandise. If anything, it makes Kenny and the Sox front office look disingenuous and low-class. Not to mention desperate for attention. well I did buy tickets for Saturdays game....however I was going to go anyway I just bought them a little earlier
  5. well...that took up 3 hours of my day....TAKE THAT PRODUCTIVITY.. and probably a few more hours...
  6. so is the deal officially dead? or is it b/c that SD newspaper article
  7. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ May 21, 2009 -> 04:29 PM) Peavy doesnt sound like he wants to move to the AL.... (i)
  8. QUOTE (bighurt574 @ May 21, 2009 -> 04:26 PM) This is strange. I know this guy broke the story last night, but all other media outlets have supposedly confirmed that a deal is already in place pending Peavy's approval. I wonder if Peavy is rejecting the deal, but to save face for the Sox, they'll try to say there was never a deal in the first place. if this is true Peavy = (i)
  9. QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ May 21, 2009 -> 04:12 PM) I want this done now....but I understand how he's taking some time to think about it. He's considering where he's going to live (and work) for the next several years. I just relocated at the beginning of the year and it took me nearly two weeks to make the decision and accept the offer. Lets hope it doesn't take that long....but if he really looks at all the good benefits of being a White Sox, I think he'll make the right decision in a day or two. he can still live in SoCal if he so chooses...short flight to Arizona....nice weather for the winter...not working 9-5 300 days a year
  10. QUOTE (rangercal @ May 21, 2009 -> 03:41 PM) If the George Bell trade was done in 1988 you may be right. ha... but truly if he says yes...this is Cutleresque
  11. QUOTE (rangercal @ May 21, 2009 -> 03:29 PM) Would this be the biggest trade acquisition in White Sox history? I am doing some major brain storming here, I am stumped. George Bell if he did say Yes what day you think would be his first start....i am coming home tomorrow and plannin on going on saturday...i might want to buy my tickets now
  12. My only hope for this to work, is that Jake just woke up to a call from someone repping the sox, and he was still under that morning cloud and he just gives up and says ok thats cool.
  13. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 21, 2009 -> 02:18 PM) Who are these "people" that these players have that are feeding lines to the media. And why is Peavy so scared to pitch in the AL? PLenty of good arms throw in the AL, you dont think you are one of them? +1 I just know he is going to be a little b**** and "prefer to stay in the NL"
  14. I see him in a Yankees uniform next year...
  15. what is awesome is that this is such a big deal...you have made it BA
  16. as Ian Malcolm would say... "Life finds a way"

  19. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 27, 2009 -> 09:47 PM) don't know about creeks and rivers to fish in, but the entire Rapid City area is a huge tourist attraction. If you do head to Mount Rushmore, make sure to stop by Keystone. It's along the way and it's just a town that is set up like an old western town with saloon looking buildings all over. There is also a saltwater taffy shop in Keystone that has taffy to die for, if you like it. It's absolutely gorgeous in the hills too as the scenery is something to die for. You can probably research a bit online, and there are some people you can probably talk to in Rapid too. There should be a game, fish, and parks building in the area, and they'd be able to help you out immensely. Thanks! Not sure if we'll hit up Mt. Rushmore I have herd it really isn't anything special and it is always way over crowded. I will make sure to stop in Keystone though, i love that wild west stuff....would that be better than Deadwood? I've always wanted to check that out and then after the HBO show i wanted to more.
  20. My girlfriend and I like to plan a nice camping trip every summer where there is some fly fishing. Last year we went down to New Mexico's Cimarron Canyon State park and had a great time. This year I was thinking of heading up to South Dakota seeing that it is only about a 6 hour drive from here, and I have never been to the badlands/black hills/Mt. Rushmore. Just wondering if anyone has some good info on the area and some good rivers/streams/creeks to fish in...
  21. quite honestly I like the away uniforms better....
  22. this thread hasn't been closed yet?
  23. I wear the same size as you and a few years ago when I was back in Chicago Walgreens had fitted Sox hats for 5 bucks a piece...however they were all throwback hats and not the current one. Just FYI to keep an eye out at Walgreens...
