  1. b/c every year the price goes up like 25 bucks...I think I paid like 2 bills last year...purchasing it when I was a college student really set me back... mlb.tv basic is 80 bucks....for the same services extra innings offers...
  2. Just got a new computer that I can hookup to my TV so looks like I will be going the MLB.tv route this year rather than the ripoff that is MLB extra innings. Just wondering for you that have had it is the premium version worth the extra money? I dont have an HDTV nor do I really care about other games that are on until we're in the hunt. Is it worth the extra 30 bucks to get to listen to hawk and stone every game?
  3. The guy from the 5th element?
  4. Bill Wennington is one hell of a nice guy too!
  5. Thats what pissed me off most about AJP....I wasn't hounding him to sign something or trying to be his best friend I just wanted to shake his hand and say thanks for getting the south side a ring...I think at most he maybe looked at the top of my head... I don't feel as mad about Crede or Pods b/c I think they were just following AJ's lead...plus I said some bad things about Pods later on that year ('06) so I didn't deserve a Hello anyway...
  6. QUOTE (lostfan @ Mar 30, 2009 -> 04:54 PM) Every story I hear about Anderson makes him sound like a womanizer Granted, this was his home town, but the 2 nights I saw him i would have to say your assumption is correct - it was pretty funny actually..
  7. QUOTE (letsgoarow @ Mar 30, 2009 -> 04:03 PM) You can add Mark Buehrle to the Best list...dude is super nice and outgoing. Def agree with that... ST '06 talked to him for awhile at a bar and got him a shot of Jaeger...later on he got me back with a beer...was laughing cause I had on a St. Patty's green AJ shirt and he was like really...you wanted an Irish Sox shirt and you got one that said Pierzynski on the back... As for AJ...met him, Crede, and Pods at the bar the next night...well I guess I can't say met b/c they didn’t even acknowledge us when we just wanted to say what's up and thanks for the championship... BA - was hilarious that weekend...at the same bar with MB he was trying to get the girl I was with to give me some lovin...he was like I will give you my seats to any game you want if you just take him home right now... by far the nicest guy that weekend was Rob Macowiack...saw him at both bars those 2 nights and he chilled with us just talking bout random stuff, getting us round, etc - you could tell he wasn't really "in" with the team yet...
  8. hey I found this here: http://www.insidercarsecrets.com/double-taxed.html
  9. yea, i'll see if I can talk to my buddy about it... My uncle has been MIA recently so I am not sure if I can get a hold of him...
  10. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 24, 2009 -> 07:39 PM) Right, so the insurance would need to be changed which could be a risk, as well as my tax returns could get tricky. Im thinking I am just screwed by the Chicago Tax laws and I'll just end up paying more than anyone else in the country for a car. I had friends who lived in Warrenville but had a lake house in South Haven. They insured their mustang in MI and got it titled there b/c it was way cheaper. My uncle also has a cabin up in MI and I think he insures his porsche there...the thing is I think both of them had cars registered and insured in IL, but I am not completely sure. It sorta seems like they just did it with the sports cars to save on insurance.

    Seattle

but in all seriousness...i can't say from experience b/c I have never been to Washington State...but my GF always raves about Vashon (sp) Island....
  12. wow... The reservoirs that give Denver/surrounding areas water have been extremely low for the past 3-5 years. There are billboards everywhere about scaling down your water consumption...I guess this would be a reason why they are enforcing these laws....
  13. At WWS in Wheaton the center field (not sure if they have redone the field) wall when I went there was 475...there was a kid that used to knock them over that I think he was a sophmore at the time...he ended up getting drafted by the tigers but I dont think it ever panned out.....or he chose to go another direction but those bombs were amazing
  14. wow...I jsut went skiing for the first time last weekend....I dont want to ski anymore...it seems like every year there is someone with some status that kills themself on skis.... RIP
  15. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 20, 2009 -> 06:40 PM) Maybe in the history of the major leagues. ^^^ I pick that...
  16. *From Wikipedia....pretty straight forward
  17. ok I reread the question and it actually is right...all it is asking is what are the 2 most common types....Ale and Lagar would be correct... The guy that argued it was just an idiot....
  18. Ale is beer.... Ale is top fermented usually at warmer temperatures (60-70F) for shorter periods of time Lager is bottom fermented at colder temperatures (48-54F) for longer periods... The funny thing is, is that the word beer can be used to describe hundreds of different types of fermented beverages..So in essence the question was wrong...
  19. I had like 7-8 in when I had ACL surgery.... All it was, was a little tool that crimped the middle downwards allowing the 2 prongs to release from the skin...i think it may be a little scarier to think of b/c we think of staples being crimped under on the 2 prongs, whereas skin staples are just straight
  20. QUOTE (heirdog @ Mar 17, 2009 -> 05:59 AM) I'm bringing in Buehrle from the bullpen to pinch hit... +1
  21. How many years was Scotty Po in the minors before making it to the bigs?
