Totally agree. If we took the lead, you also would have your pick of minor league free agents which could serve two fold. Your prospects might develop in a winning environment and they have better teammates to serve as examples of how to be a professional. I would also argue for DSL to have english classes and assimilation(cultural) classes to help them better acclimate to the US. I know Sox do a GED program which is cool.

I think with the health of current pitching he might/will. In a game four, one time through lineup then watch. Pull if makes it through twice. A lot of games he’s given five pretty decent innings then gets knocked around in sixth. In playoffs, I wouldn’t give him that chance.

In their top 30, Colas at 22yo. Another guy is 18. Everyone else is 16yo. So to find these guys you are scouting and developing 13-14yo? Like going to the little league fields and going "yep he's a major leaguer, heres 2 million"

I hated my post because I didn't want to single out a guy chasing his dream, hence I didn't name him. I was just using it for reference. Would love for him to develop and know not all development is linear and some develop later. In a good system that guy might still be ranked but drop ten spots was more my point due to other prospects looking better.

Remember DSL pitch counts are inaccurate. Something close to 4p per walk+ 3p per k + 1p per hit +1p per out not a k. Played around with box scores and its very close. Maybe 1p per error or something but it close enough to know you can ignore them.
