I think what is trying to be said is that Tony does have an advantage by not saying if Rodon or even Kuechel will be out. If it is not announced, the Astros have to do some work on scouting/culling/analyzing/prepping etc ahead of time. If they don't pitch or are ruled out later then that time and effort was wasted.

Tim played back to back games. Day game after night game. Previously they had been trying to play him every other day but he wanted in for getting defensive timing back. Makes sense to rest today. I imagine if it were crucial he would play.

Saw someone mentioned Pilkington. Looked up his stats and he's still in AA. ERA down a run to low 2's while whip up to around one. Looked at top 30 for Clev and he didn't crack it! Look at ours and guessed he's probably in the middle of top 30. Definitely not the deepest of systems right now.
