I agree he has been a useful major league player. When signed he made some sense as we didn't have a lot of those around. Now, I hope he gets up and is decent so he can get us a lottery ticket in a trade. No AAAA players as we have a 40 man crunch coming but some guy who most likely never gets out of A or AA but has a chance to be good.

Think Rutherford is 13-30 this month. He hit .150ish in April .216 in May with some hits late in the month. Hopefully this is more than just a good stretch and he is putting it together. Failing and then succeeding would be great.

I agree let him have a great start but I fear with Banuelos and Despaigne coming they may try to milk it.

In the future sox interview with Hostetller, he indicated we wouldn't be able to sign all the high schoolers outside the top 12. Made it sound like one for sure and possibly one or two more depending on the dollars available to spend.

The first thing any and all players should do before being called up is demonstrate that they are ready. It is not useful to pick an arbitrary time to call them up. Once they are ready, we can debate service time issues. Remember everyone laughed when it was said Eloy needed to work on defense? He got hurt on a awkward defensive play. Robert needs to play, adjust to breaking balls and learn how to run/steal/slide without hurting his hand. Madrigal just moved to AA. Vaughn hasn't even signed yet. Who knows how he adjusts.

A short year or two ago, we looked liked we had a ton of starting pitching. If anything the rebuild has reinforced to me that "you never have to much pitching"! As you noted 4/5 and 5/6 of our best have had TJ. I am glad other prospects are emerging but people will get injured or fail. Gio and Rolando look better but I am not ready to proclaim them fixed. Cease Kopech Dunning haven't even gone thru growing pains. Rodon I hope heals quickly and stays healthy but you can't count on that anymore.

If you want Kopech to ease back in, how long would he need to stay down to regain a year of control? For instance he is very wild in spring and don't want to force him back

Man the pitching staff at AAA and line up at AA are really struggling. Heck he may get a shot before long.

Part of her hatred of Tyrion but Jamie was born after her(twins) making him younger also. I/many thought Jamie would complete his redemptive arc by killing her. Since neither brother did it was a clear departure.
