To me personally the Sox/Cubs series has lost much of it's luster and frankly doesn't mean much to me anymore. But for me to tell anyone how to feel about this series or to say it shouldn't mean something to them is just pompous and arrogant. If you still care about these series then more power to you, I hope you have a blast watching the games this weekend.

This for a starter who over a 5 year career as a full time starter has had fewer than 32 GS and 220 IP in a season only once (2003) while putting up seasonal averages of 33 GS, 224 IP, 3.09 ERA, 1.193 WHIP and a 141 ERA+. He was 28 years old at the time and headed into free agency. On December 4th, 2006 Chris Carpenter restructured his contract to make it a 5 year, $63.5M deal. He was 31 at the time of the extension. So: Roy Halladay, 3/16/06, 3 year, $40M extension, 28 years old Roy Oswalt, 8/29/06, 5 year, $73M extension, 28 years old Chris Carpenter, 12/4/06, 5 year, $63.5M extension, 31 years old

The Honda Element is one of the most hideously ugly vehicles I have ever come across. If you want to drive around in a box lined with an inordinate amount of distinguishable plastic then you should definitely buy an Element. God damn I hate that monstrosity. I've had my '01 Accord V6 for about 3 years now and I absolutely love it. I haven't had a single problem with the car, it gets great gas mileage, it looks fantastic especially in black, the interior is very well designed and looks outstanding particularly with the black leather, the car has great pickup, plus it's a relatively inexpensive car and pretty easy to find. You could probably find a certified used Accord at a Honda dealer that provides a full warranty on the vehicle for about 2 years.
