To be totally honest, this one is just . . . meh. And just because the Sox' colors are silver, white and black doesn't mean you can't incorporate any color. Just avoid desaturating everything, to start. Like so:

Maybe we can go after Jeriome Robertson, I don't kow what the f*** he's doing these days but damn did that guy have an amazing career including one KICKASS season for the 'stros in '03. He went 15-9 and since we all know that a pitchers W/L record is the most important thing when evaluating a pitcher, he must be seriously good. W L G GS CG SHO IP H R ER HR BB SO HBP WP BFP IBB BK ERA *lgERA *ERA+ WHIP 15 9 32 31 0 0 160.7 180 98 91 23 64 99 6 1 711 8 2 5.10 4.41 87 1.519 AWESOMENESS!!!!

This is seriously one of the funniest articles I've ever read. The only problem is, it's not supposed to be funny . . . http://theedge.bostonherald.com/travelNews...rticleid=141223

QUOTE(My Dixie Normus @ May 28, 2006 -> 05:58 PM) I am not sure what the mix is but get Carl Crawford. Career .322 OB% .420 SL% .289 BA 45-55 Stolen Bases a year. Just for the record, that is a horrible OBP especially seeing how it's only 33 points higher than his avg which means his OBP is very batting average heavy. His poor OBP also contributes to his .742 OPS which is also very poor (he hasn't spent a lot of time in the leadoff role so the stat stands.)

QUOTE(MattZakrowski @ May 28, 2006 -> 05:36 PM) He hasn't looked that bad when I've seen him He has already lost us atleast 1 game this year with his s***ty OF defense. (April 7th @ KC)
-
I find it humorous that anyone could watch Podsednik in LF today and still suggest that he be moved to CF, the guy is a butcher, plain and simple. You take away this teams outfield defense and they're going to lose a TON of games.
-
I'd say Freddy Garcia is easily the AL Cy Young front runner as of right now.
-
Demoralizing? Why yes, yes it was.
-
Is that demoralizing enough? Ron Santo - "IISHHHHH!!!"
-
The Cubs are going to find some hillarious and ultimately demoralizing way to lose this game today.
-
This is really a non-story.

Des Moines Register Says Cubs are better than Sox at something

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 28, 2006 -> 04:49 PM) Not all, only about 98 percent of them. I hate that damn place. You hate a lot of things don't you? -
Brad Lidge was easily the best setup man in baseball in '04 and then became one of the elite closers in the game as well. He would make the Sox' pen so f***ing dangerous if he somehow found his way to the south side. 2004, setting up Dotel and then closing out games: G GS W L SV CG SHO IP H R ER HR BB K ERA WHIP BAA 80 0 6 5 29 0 0 94.2 57 21 20 8 30 157 1.90 0.92 .174 Just take a look at his BB:SO numbers and WHIP. Unf***inghittable

QUOTE(CWSOX45 @ May 28, 2006 -> 01:40 PM) For the pen I'd like Kenny to take a look at these guys: (Don't bust my balls on some of these, I am unaware of these guys contract situations, no trade clause etc, I'm just throwing some names out there.) Chris Ray. (Only been in the league two years, but has a career 2.55 era. Would be a nice righty for our pen.) Rafael Soriano-(might be hard to pry him from the Mariners, but I really like his stuff, teammate George Sherrill would be another option if Ozzie wants another lefty) Jon Rauch-(Yes, the same exact Jon Rauch that we traded to Montreal. In 28 innings has posted a 1.93 era, while compiling 26 K's compared to only 11 walks. Another possibly target on the Nationals would be former Sox prospect Gary Majewski) Mike Gonzalez (a pretty good lefty in Pittsburgh). Just to let you know there's like a .05% chance Gonzalez is traded and a .01% Chris Ray is traded. Rafael Soriano as well.

Holy f***, Garland actually looks dominant right now.

QUOTE(Ndgt10 @ May 28, 2006 -> 01:20 PM) 1st and 2nd with no outs, uribe bunts and they get the guy at 3rd. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 28, 2006 -> 01:20 PM) Runners at 1st and 2nd with no outs and he laid down a s***ty bunt. The pitcher threw out the lead runner at 3rd base. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 28, 2006 -> 01:20 PM) For some reason Ozzie wanted him to bunt in the 2nd inning while the rookie pitcher was wild and having trouble getting outs. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 28, 2006 -> 01:21 PM) Bad bunt wiht the pitcher and 1st baseman charging turned into a force out at 3rd. Ok, Jon, time to stop throwign that pitch to Wells. I don't know why but I found this humorous.
-
Konerko looked silly.
-
QUOTE(Ndgt10 @ May 28, 2006 -> 01:16 PM) Good job Pods on slowing down before you get to the base... He obviously thought Thome made contact.
-
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 28, 2006 -> 01:14 PM) Come on Scott, get your ass moving. Hey, shut your mouth.
-
Thome went down awkwardly. f***.
-
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 28, 2006 -> 01:13 PM) Sore from what? Bruised foot, he fouled a couple pitches off his foot a few games ago.
-
QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 28, 2006 -> 01:11 PM) Holy s***. That can't be true. He's not that bad. Though I didn't look it up so it might be true . . . Even though I remember a few 1-2-3 innings he's pitched this year.
-
Fun Fact: That was Jon Garland's first 1-2-3 innning of the season. Also, he's still allowing WAY too many fly balls, he needs to keep his sinker down and start inducing some groundballs.
-
QUOTE(Whitewashed in @ May 28, 2006 -> 01:08 PM) Actually there about the same, but I agree. Actually BA has 23 more ABs vs lefties but they both have 6 hits.
