  1. QUOTE(WCSox @ Apr 26, 2006 -> 12:51 PM) I think it's completely ridiculous to EXPECT 20 HRs from Anderson in his rookie year. It's possible but, as I said, the expectations here regarding him are waaay too high. Give the guy some time to develop. Crede didn't even hit 20 HRs in his first full season. If Anderson hit .250/.320/15 and played solid defense, I'd be happy. Jeff Abbott in his rookie year had 244 ABs, he hit 12 HRs. Hell Craig Monroe in his rookie year hit 23 HRs. It's not ridiculous to expect similar production from BA.
  2. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 26, 2006 -> 12:47 PM) Why is it I half expect to see that from him one of these years? Maybe it's because he's only 26 years old (
  3. QUOTE(SpringfieldFan @ Apr 26, 2006 -> 12:07 PM) Time for a little cross-mulitiplication: 2hr/20 games = 16hr/160 games SFF 9hr/20 games = 72hr/160 games Damn, Thome's gonna fall 1 short of Bonds. 12/20 games = 96hr/160 games Holy s***, 96 HRs for Pujols!!!111
  4. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 26, 2006 -> 10:49 AM) Well, that and the throwing arm, which B.A. also improves on. Rowand had a good arm, just no accuracy.
  5. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Apr 26, 2006 -> 12:02 AM) fo'sure I need to read up on my ridicules baseball rules. Well, he pitched the final 3 innings of a win = save.
  6. QUOTE(BFirebird @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 11:49 PM) Until they hurt themselves throwing. If I recall, someone like Todd Zeile or Jose Canseco hurt themselves pitching once. Yes but Mark Grace also kicked ass on a few occations. I want a postion player to pitch damnit, I really don't care who it is.
  7. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 11:45 PM) lol..you should quit why you're ahead. His pitching is an adventure for the fielders, hitters, coaching staff and fans. It's all fun and games in a game like today but other than that we might as well just let Uribe finish the game. I say BA should get into a game sometime this year, according to him he was a pretty good pitcher when he was younger. And besides it's always fun watching a position player pitch.
  8. Raul Ibanez is the worst player in major league baseball.
  9. QUOTE(SoxRock05 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 11:38 PM) If I can remember correctly people were ranting and raving about boone in ST....now he gives up some runs and he is back to AA....you guys are rediculas and dont give any of these kids a chance. The only thing that's RIDICULOUS is your spelling of the word RIDICULOUS.
  10. 'bout damn time the Widge made an appearance.
  11. AJ looks so damn good at the plate this year. I love the classic high batting average low power Pierz compared to the high power low avg Pierz we saw last year.
  12. They're hitting shots all over the yard.
  13. BA looks so damn good at the plate right now. And Mack is the cutest by far.
  14. Javy is just ricockulously filthy right now.
  15. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:27 PM) Why is Hawk off? I don't think anyone in the stadium thought either of the line drive homers were gone. It seems to be taking him about 2 or 3 seconds after the ball clears the fence to figure out that it's a HR.
  16. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:25 PM) 1.14 WHIP is excellent. And did Hawk just call this guy "Shaun Livingston"? Tivo says yes, yes he did.
  17. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:20 PM) I think a 1.14 WHIP is a bit high for an elite closer. Thats like putting a man on every time you come out for the 9th. Hmmm. Mariano Rivera = 1.048 career whip that's a baserunner an inning as well.
