Iguchi runners on the corners for Thome.

QUOTE(Ndgt10 @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 01:43 PM) Maybe like he cares. I like how Lew Ford plays the outfield with his intensity. That makes absolutely no sense, the guy is getting to the ball and is using proper form to catch it. But you want him what, to look pissed off as he catches? What does that do?

QUOTE(Ndgt10 @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 01:40 PM) I hate how anderson looks so non-chalant in CF. He looks like a complete tool, especially because he can't hit s***. How would you like him to look?

QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 01:34 PM) seriously how long can we afford to be patient with this guy Until his defense begins to suffer.

Wow, Brian making a very awkward play.

Wasn't that 1000? I've been listening to Levine and DeFalco since the show started and they did an interview with Torii that fit that exact description.

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 12:08 PM) I was at a Sox game on May 26, 1996(my birthday) when Thomas, Baines, Ventura went back to back to back, and then Lyle Mouton hit a single, and Chad Kreuter followed with another homerun. I think it was all against Mike Fetters too. That is incredibly similar to what the Sox did last year against Johnson, last year it was 2-3-4 hitting the HRs with the catcher hitting the 4th HR and it being a 3 run HR. In 96 it was 3-4-5 and the catcher hitting the 4th HR but it was a 2 run HR.

QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 08:27 AM) I think it was Konerko, Rowand, Widger, and someone else. Can't remember who though.. The two games I went to were one in Baltimore (the last one before Palmeiro got suspended) where the Sox scored 8 quick runs in the first two to win the game 9-4, and one at The Cell against the Mariners, where Aaron Rowand tasted wall to save Cliff Politte. I had seats about 10 rows up from the 1B dugout for that game, and it was just amazing. I was at that Yankees game last year. Iguchi started it off by going oppo off Randy Johnson, then it was Rowand doing the same, just shooting a ball over the right center field wall. To complete the trifecta Konerko hit a blast to left field. All were solo shots and back to back to back. Jermaine Dye then singled and Uribe followed suit with a single of his own to left center. Widger then hit a fastball in his eyes and off the outside corner into the left field stands. 6 ERs in the inning off Johnson on 4 HRs. One of the best games I've ever been to.

Just further proof that Jeckle can't possibly believe the moronic s*** that he posts.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 11:12 PM) http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?sh...ndpost&p=967921 heh QUOTE(Kalapse @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 03:15 PM) I'm going to say this now. I hate this f***ing trade. Says the man with the Jim Thome sig. But to my credit later on in the day when I cooled off and got past the loss of Rowand I realized that the trade was for the best.

QUOTE(wsox08 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 11:02 PM) I love that the one game we lost was the one I went to vs. Toronto ^^^ Same here, the one game I get to over this long ass stretch of winning just happens to be the one game that they lose.

April 22nd Game Thread Twins at Sox
Kalapse replied to southsider2k5's topic in 2006 Season in Review
It's sad how much interest I've lost in the NBA, the Sox game is on at 6 and the Bulls opening playoff game is on at 7 and I can honestly say that the Sox take priority in this case. Though I will still be watching a good portion of the Bulls game one of the main reasons being they are on ESPNHD which is the best around. -
QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Apr 21, 2006 -> 10:59 PM) all you dorks said santana over buehrle... i said hell no you f***s... but you said oh s***, santana will win WELL buehrle won and i laughed my ass he owned you all and i love it so much... Yes, I do believe that tonight Buehrle proved once and for all that he is better than Johan Santana and that you know more about baseball than eveyone else.

Mark Buehrle Aceness.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 21, 2006 -> 05:48 PM) Betancourt has been placed on the dl. Cleveland is in trouble(well, not these next 3 games). That pitching staff isn't good as it is but now they've lost their best reliever imo for a period of time. They're going to struggle. And while on this same subject it appears Matt Miller will be missing 4-6 months after surgery to repair his right flexor tendon. What a horrible day for the Indians, losing 2 of their best arms for an extended period of time.

Crede looks so much different. I'll never look at him the same way again.

QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 21, 2006 -> 05:11 PM) At the top of the thread on the right, click "standard" instead of "outline" I don't think it's the outline mode that's the problem, I believe he is in lo-fi mode which is a version of the board that you can view that is text only, no other bells and wistles at all.
-
QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 21, 2006 -> 05:07 PM) I dont know what happened, but I clicked on the link that hammerhead put up and it put Soxtalk into lo-fi mode(so Jason tells me). I havent been able to fix it yet, and lo-fi mode REALLY sucks. So I advise not to click that link. Is there a link at the bottom of the page that says Hi-fi mode? Whenever I have that problem there's usually a link at the bottom that fixes it.

I don't understand why people even bother with Jeckle anymore. You should all try what I do, put him on ignore and just forget about him, if he seriously believes the s*** that he posts then he obviously has no business talking about baseball and if he's f***ing around and posting stupid s*** just for the hell of it, then why would you even humor him?

QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Apr 21, 2006 -> 03:46 PM) I'm obviously talking about search options that are an actual part of this site, but let's test google with the keywords "South Park" and "White Sox". Search Who has the time to search through all of those links? We used to have specialized search options on this site where you could find pretty much anything. You could go to SLAP, search for South Park, and you'd find it immediately. That google search is pretty f***ing far from specialized. I was simply stating that there was a search option since you said there wasn't one. I was not making a statement based on anything in this thread, simply stating a fact.

QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Apr 21, 2006 -> 03:24 PM) Dude, it's been posted before. You totally suck. In my best Rahman voice: How gay of you But on a serious note, people need to realize that there are no search options on this site. Unless it's recent news, don't be that dumbass who says some s*** like "It's been posted before". There is a search function, it's on the main page of the board and says google.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 21, 2006 -> 08:48 AM) Thome has insane numbers against every team not named Cleveland. He basically raped and pillaged the whole division when he was with the Indians. Just another reason why the similarities between Thome and Hafner are so striking. They're basically the same player except Hafner has a higher batting average and a little less pop. Oh yeah and Hafner is just now comming into his own at the age of 28, Hafner had 76 career HRs through age 28 where as Thome already had 196.

Trophy Pictures for Motorola Employees Tomorrow.
Kalapse replied to SadChiSoxFanOptimist's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Went over there this morning, the setup was very cool. Nancy was on the organ, got to meet her which was awesome. Got my pic taken with that beautiful trophy and found out that I am ineligible for the online ring raffle. -
Click this sentence if you have not yet seen Jon Bois' latest post on The Dugout. It is f***ing hillarious and my stomach is now killing me from laughing so damn hard.
