  1. QUOTE(Whitesoxfan56 @ Aug 29, 2005 -> 03:28 PM) thanks, i can read, and i saw that before. the key word, or letters in your post our "AAA" like kalapse said lets see how he does here, because in the short time he was up last year he was horable. 8.1 IP. very short time.
  2. QUOTE(rangercal @ Aug 29, 2005 -> 03:23 PM) Thats why I don't hate them. I dislike them because, I am a fan. I disliked their play. Why not stick up for Paniagua too? He was a total prick.
  3. QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 29, 2005 -> 03:23 PM) Yea.. let's see how he does before we s*** all over him.... right? It's a 2 way street, hold off on judgement until you see him pitch in September this year. You can't really call him great or say he sucks until he plays.
  4. QUOTE(Whitesoxfan56 @ Aug 29, 2005 -> 03:21 PM) I want niether on the post season roster they both suck, lets see how Baj does at the show b4 everyone is so happy to bring him up. theres a reason that adkins and jenks were called up before him Because Jenks has amazing stuff and an ultra high ceiling and Adkins can give you more innings than Baj could. Baj more than likely will not be making the playoff roster so it's a moot point.
  5. QUOTE(Whitesoxfan56 @ Aug 29, 2005 -> 03:15 PM) o s*** here's the start of everyone on this site getting a hard-on because Baj is with the sox and everyone loves him because he posts here...whipty f***en due, if he is on the post-season roster we are in some serious trouble 1.30 ERA, 19 SV, 69 IP, 10 ER, 27 BB, 81 SO, at a AAA hitter's park. There's a reason people wanted to see him on the Sox and it's not just because he posted here on occasion in the past, he's putting up great numbers in the minors. Baj or Adkins on the playoff roster. Pick one. There is absolutely no gaurentee that Baj makes the playoff roster, as a matter of fact IMO he most likely won't.
  6. QUOTE(alexgtp @ Aug 29, 2005 -> 03:06 PM) As a player, yes. As a person, hell no. I liked Koch and I always will.
  7. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Aug 29, 2005 -> 02:56 PM) Uh oh, here comes Kalapse... I'm suprised it took 13 posts for his name to be mentioned. Like I've said a thousand times, I'll never understand the hatred for him. He produced for a s*** team in '98 and never amounted to anything after that. You can say more for him than you could for a s*** load of other Sox prospects (even though he wasn't home grown). What about Jason Dellaero, we drafted his ass in the first round and never did s***. Dellaero played 11 career games and hit .091, maybe people should redirect their Caruso hatred toward players that never did anything, instead of one that played his ass off and contributed.
  8. Good to see Baj back with the big club. Congrats on the promotion Jeff.
  9. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Aug 29, 2005 -> 02:08 PM) Yeah, that part made me laught. There's not many people on that list that interest me much, except maybe Walker or even Aurilia. I don't think Catalanotto would even be traded. Like I told you there aren't a whole hell of a lot of guys out there. Only 2 or 3 slightly intriguing names.
  10. QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 29, 2005 -> 01:50 PM) He is not on the insider list, but I don't know if that's the "for sure they were put on waivers" list... This is the list I have: No Ibanez
  11. Can someone show me proof of any kind that Raul Ibanez has cleared waivers? I have not seen his name on any list of players that have cleared, if he has not cleared waivers by now it would be impossible for him to go through the 3 day waiver process and clear by the 31st. People keep bringing up his name yet there's no evidence that he would even be eligible to be traded.
  12. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 11:23 PM) Me too. With the rumors we're looking at Ibanez, I'm very scared about who we'd have to give up for him. Bazardo was a top 3 prospect for the Marlins, they gave him and another prospect up for a journeyman lefty reliever. Imagine what they'd want for a stud like Guardado or a good everday player like Ibanez.
  13. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 11:08 PM) So you think Florida would be happy with Ron Villone right now, especially what they gave up for him? How bout Randy Winn and the Giants? Yorman Bazardo, talk about overpaying. This is why I think the Mariners would want an arm and a leg for some of their players that are supposidly on the block.
  14. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 10:19 PM) Along with clearifying it, you also clarified it. So that's good... I'm sorry, I had to... We've gone over this, I'll use proper grammar and spelling about 95% of the time. However, that 5% will include some major suckage and butchering of the english language. I hate spelling s*** wrong, especilly words that obvious.
  15. QUOTE(Dam8610 @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 09:59 PM) I have to disagree with that. He's got just about everything you want in a QB. He's calm in the pocket and can throw just about any ball exactly where it needs to be and when it needs to be there. I clarified my statement about 3 posts later.
  16. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 09:48 PM) That's not my job. But can you sit there and tell me that KW can't pry away a player from another team even if he has to overpay? To be honest there aren't many players I can think of that he could pry away and if it's possible for him to make a trade, he'll do it.
  17. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 09:45 PM) With Pods back, Anderson wasn't going to see any time in the playoffs. He had 1 great game. He knocked around a rookie phenom. He struggled against veterans, which is what he'd be facing in the playoffs. If someone gets hurt, he still may be added to the playoff roster. He'd be more valuable than Adkins as a late inning defensive replacemet or pinch runner. Adkins more than likely will not be used in the playoffs.
  18. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 09:43 PM) Like I said, there's got to be someone out there that KW can pry away that's better than some of the garbage we have. Can you think of a single name?
  19. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 09:36 PM) ...and when you have to play 4 games in 3 days with a rookie going against a team that rocked him do you want Brian Anderson or Jon Adkins in your bullpen? :rolly So you have Adkins up for the next 4 games because you might need him. Meanwhile he becomes eligeble for the playoff roster (where he is not needed) and a player like Anderson becomes ineligeble.
  20. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 09:32 PM) Injuries sometimes occur, and the Sox still need an extra pitcher this week with no days off and a DH. Adkins sucks, but he was a godsend today, giving the rest of the bullpen a break. Adkins can meet the team in Chicago this thursday. You don't need Adkins for the playoffs, you'll have a starter slip into the long relief role. Adkins can be sent down now for Pods and brought back up on Sept. 1st for the stretch run, he should NOT be up for the next few days to where he becomes eligeble for the playoff roster and an extra bat and extremely effective OF glove gets sent to AAA and can not be placed on the playoff roster.
  21. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 09:27 PM) At this point, it makes no sense to keep anderson up here, let him get ab's in charlotte for the next week. EDIT: Well, actually 3 days. But would you rather have Adkins or Anderson on your playoff roster?
  22. f***ing.Bulls***. I can't believe Adkins is still on this team.
  23. We havn't seen Dominguez yet this year, he's spent most of the season in the bullpen. In his career Vs the Sox he's 0-1, 2 GS, 8 ER, 9.1 IP, 7 H, 8 BB, 7.71 ERA, 1.61 WHIP, .219 BAA The Sox hitters must be patient against Dominguez, take pitches force him to throw strikes, he's prone to the walk if you're patient.
