The Mariners who don't really factor into the Sox's ranking did pay a portion of each player's salary that they dealt during the season including the $3.5M they paid of Silva's salary that wasn't included in the original total. Payroll obligations are public and not all that hard to find, I'd say it's pretty accurate that the Sox were about 10th or 11th in baseball even if you want to factor in the I think ~$2.5M or so they added through trades during the season. The teams right around them (Giants, Twins, Dodgers, even the Cardinals) all added to their team payroll during the season as well.

So do I buy NBA 2k11 based on the IGN review? They're the only one out there but "best of its generation" is pretty bold, hate to drop $60 then find out that IGN was being hyperbolic. Tough decision, leaning toward picking it up.

IGN has the first review of NBA 2k11: they gave it a 9.5 and called it "the best sports game of its generation". If this keeps up I'm gonna be forced to buy my first basketball game in a while.

The NBA Elite demo was SO bad that they've delayed the game indefinitely with rumors that there will not be a 2011 version of the game. Awesome start for the new branding.

Raising Hope was pretty good, hard to ask too much from a pilot but it showed potential. Running Wilde on the other hand has an uphill battle with it's goofy comedy and annoying little girl narrator, I also don't see Keri Russell bringing a damn thing to the table.

I'm as big an AD fan as anyone but just looking at trailers and such "Running Wilde" feels like a disappointment in the making. "Raising Hope" on the other hand looks like it could be solid, I'm getting the same feel from it as I did from Modern Family last year. I'll definitely give both a chance.
