QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Aug 15, 2005 -> 10:05 PM) This team has looked completely flat since the trade deadline....IMO. I guess Blum didn't give us that shot in the arm we were looking for. If anyone thought Blum was a shot in arm they were sadly mistaken Mr I am hitting .190

Benson deal done?
Ben$on's camp excuse was before they were waiting for Brown at #2 to sign he has and they still are not signed. Ben$on is about Ben$on, Bears are 4-12 with or without Ben$on.He is NEVER going to get Rivers money at #4 this year and that is what he wants plus more. :finger CB stay home.

We better keep Konerko, his numbers are just as...
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 12:42 PM) The only reason the Brewers would trade Overbay would be because they have Prince Fielder (a 1B prospect who they think will be better than Overbay) in the minors. They don't need another 1Bman, they'd have NO interest in Konerko. With no DH in NL ......I agree no interest in PK

Nightengale's Griffey/ Sox update
Sunday, August 14, 2005 Report: Jr. clears waivers But agent says Reds haven't brought up trade By Kevin Kelly Enquirer staff write Cincinnati MILWAUKEE - The Reds are now free to trade Ken Griffey Jr. if the team wishes, according to a radio report Saturday. The report said the center fielder, who continues to be the focus of a trade rumor involving the White Sox, is believed to have cleared waivers. Brian Goldberg, the Cincinnati-based agent for Griffey, said Saturday he still has not heard from the Reds regarding any potential trades. Griffey, who is signed with the Reds through 2008 at $12.5 million with a club option for 2009, has the right to veto any trade because of his status as a 10-and-5 player. "We have not been asked anything," Goldberg said. "We can't answer to something we haven't been asked."
