  1. Hopefully the same results will happen as when Cubs led 2-0 against another San team.
  2. QUOTE (Hatchetman @ Oct 9, 2016 -> 02:33 PM) He's on his 6th manager as pitching coach if you include himself! What a crazy organization this is. Until JR is gone Sox fans can expect more of the same.
  3. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 9, 2016 -> 02:30 PM) It is absolutely hilarious how bad of a job Indy's GM has done building a team around Luck. One of the worst offensive lines in the NFL, mediocre at best WRs and RBs and a horrible defense. Yet the Bears with a 300 yard passer, a 100 yard rusher and 100 yard receiver lose to them. Says more about the Bears than Indy. I am ready for Fox and Cutler to be gone after this year
  4. Barth has to be cut Monday.
  5. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Oct 6, 2016 -> 09:35 AM) Saying he's injury prone is lazy TBH. He overtrained for the combine and caused a stress fracture in his shin. This is an isolated helmet shot to the fibula. Broken bones don't make you injury prone. It's just a violent game. You can chalk them both up to luck in this case. It's not ideal though obviously because he needs as many reps as he can get. We will see jury still out.
  6. White injury prone looking like a wasted pick.
  7. Harold Baines is my favorite Sox player of all time, but I agree he is a notch shy of HOF. He was one of the best clutch hitters ever to wear a Sox Jersey, shame his knees went bad so early in career.
  8. Sox do not have a protected pick at #12. I do not see any big name free agents signing that cost that pick. Trades only way team improves. I do not see what changes with Renteria he was here all year and knows the pecking order.
  9. Until JR is gone the Bill Wirtz show continues, with KW playing the role of Bob Pulford. Fan base is completely fed up. Changing managers is putting a band aid on a compound fracture.
  10. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Oct 2, 2016 -> 04:03 PM) I hope turner is faaaarrrrr away next year.. ugh! Half the 25 man roster needs far away, way too many guys on this team who have no business wearing a MLB uniform. Yet KW survives to collect more checks and do nothing to get team too playoffs.
  11. QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Oct 2, 2016 -> 02:19 PM) According to MLB sources White Sox Executive VP of BB opts Ken Williams ,is not stepping down from the post.(Some reports had him leaving) https://twitter.com/MLBBruceLevine/status/782660367738699776 This F'N sucks..................expect same results of sub .500 ball.
  12. Someone should be fired or released for allowing that punt return only the Bears.
  13. QUOTE (He Gawn @ Oct 2, 2016 -> 02:18 PM) Leury Garcia putting his home run potential on full display Hope this is last time I have to see him in a October game. Buxton already a Sox Killer.
  14. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 2, 2016 -> 01:21 AM) Does Trump actually have any supporters? He's going to lose in a landslide. The sad thing is some Americans think Hillary is just as bad as Trump and I am one of them. She is no better. Our country couldn't come up with better candidates?? He may lose but a landslide it will not be.
  15. Meet the new boss same as the old boss.................nothing is changing Renteria knows what is expected at the country club. KW leaving is a MUST!
  16. 4th and 1 Bears seem to fail often
  17. QUOTE (TheFutureIsNear @ Oct 1, 2016 -> 10:58 AM) Dump Shields however possible (which means just paying him to go away) Retain M. Gonzalez Trade Q and Robertson to Boston for Travis Shaw, Eduardo Rodriguez, Rafael Devers, Luis Alexander Basabe, Michael Kopech, and Blake Swihart I think a trade like this works out great in our favor. There's no question in my mind that we need to trade at least 1 of Sale or Q to rebuild an organization that obviously doesn't have enough talent. A trade like this would add 3 very young and talented prospects into the system to develop while also adding Shaw and Rodriguez to the majors roster as young pieces to build on. Swihart being the wildcard to take a shot on as I'm sure Boston wants him gone. This also adds some payroll flexibility by forcing Boston to take on Robertson's contract as well. I'm sure there will be some outcry because I'm not getting 1 of Boston's big name prospects but I don't think we can sacrifice quantity for 1 big name like Bennitendi or Moncada that will hurt the overall package we can get back. Free Agent Signings Nick Hundley Michael Saunders Jeremy Hellickson -Hundley is another shot at adding a vet to stabilize the C position for now, could be 1 of several names on the FA list if you don't like Hundley -Saunders is talented and relatively young still. Can play good OF D and adds pop as well. He won't be cheap but also won't break the bank. -Hellickson is a solid vet who can be a stable presence to the rotation. Will come back down to earth a little back in the AL but he should be above average and consistent. Again, shouldn't break the bank either. C- Hundley/Narvaez 1B- Shaw/Abreu 2B- Sally/Lawrie SS- Anderson 3B- Frazier LF- Saunders CF- Eaton RF- Melky/Tilson/Swihart DH- Abreu/Melky Eaton Melky Abreu Frazier Shaw Saunders Anderson Hundley Sally/Lawrie Tilson/Swihart battle it out for last roster spot on offense. Most likely Tilson because of D. SP- Sale SP- Rodon SP- Hellickson SP- Rodriguez SP- Gonzalez Middle Relief- Putnam Petricka Purke/whoever steps up as the 2nd lefty Kahnle/Ynoa Late Inning relief- Jennings Jones Fulmer Burdi Just put Fulmer in the pen and let him throw gas. He's not built to be a starter and his mechanics and stuff aren't built for it either. Fulmer/Jones/Burdi could make a dominant force in the pen to shorten games ala the Royals. Go ahead and tear it apart.... And another 75 win season seems like Sox would be spinning tires with this.
  18. QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Oct 1, 2016 -> 07:54 PM) There are rumors out there stating Kenny Williams will finally step down from his post on Monday. Can this actually be true? Dear God be true
  19. Illinois ever since the game at Penn ST which was Paterno's last game, have not got any calls home or away. Illinois leads Big Ten last 20 years in apology letters from Big Ten saying we made a mistake sorry!
  20. Funny how much better Sox play with no pressure.
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 29, 2016 -> 12:38 PM) The reality of revenue is this. The White Sox are no where near the big market teams in terms of dollars earned. The Yankees brought in $516 million in revenue last year. Tampa brought in $193 million. The White Sox brought in $240million. That's on JR 100%, not the fans. Way past time too sell.
  22. QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Sep 28, 2016 -> 07:16 PM) If the White Sox are not blaming Ventura for the past five seasons but rather "roster deficiencies", then I wonder when we can expect heads to roll in the FO? Status Quo as usual.............bad luck ask KW.
  23. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Sep 28, 2016 -> 04:40 PM) Unfortunately this would mean that williams and Hahn will be back (a new FO would not retain Ventura). More years of Williams and Hahn clownshows is the real problem. It's been a issue for years not that JR cares.
