  1. Do not see a plus side in bringing Robin back 2 straight years team has been in the s***ter in September under his watch. Nobody going to be excited in 2014 with him running the ship fan base wise. Lipstick on a pig time for RV!
  2. Sox getting very good at 1 run losses.
  3. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 7, 2013 -> 11:51 AM) Do I play Tavon Austin at flex in week 1 or wait and see with him? I am playing Austin think he will be involved heavy in the offense.
  4. Illini matched win total for year I had then with 2 wins.
  5. QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 6, 2013 -> 08:47 PM) We've come this far. Gotta go 0-10. Why stop now.
  6. Offense rolling again tonight.
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 6, 2013 -> 02:48 PM) No Avi, no Semien...no care. I can't believe they're giving Keppinger more at bats against RHP than seeing what Semien can do. 1. Alejandro De Aza (L) CF 2. Gordon Beckham ® 2B 3. Jeff Keppinger ® 3B 4. Adam Dunn (L) DH 5. Paul Konerko ® 1B 6. Jordan Danks (L) RF 7. Dayan Viciedo ® LF 8. Josh Phegley ® C 9. Leury Garcia (S) SS I have no faith in management at this point.
  8. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 6, 2013 -> 11:21 AM) Remember when Earl Bennett was the Bears' number one receiver? LOL EB days with the Bears are numbered.
  9. Earl Bennett agreed to a $1 million pay cut with the Bears, slashing his 2013 base salary from $2.25 million to $1.25 million. The rest of Bennett's contract was untouched. He's still signed through 2015, though this could easily be his last season in Chicago. Bennett is no higher than the No. 4 or 5 option in the passing game as the slot receiver. Per Rotoworld
  10. One thing for sure White Sox know how to play like crap in September under Ventura.
  11. Tyler Flowers will need 2-3 months of recovery time after undergoing exploratory surgery on his right shoulder Thursday Flowers initially hurt the shoulder over a year ago, and the injury never properly healed. He'll be ready to roll for the start of spring training. Per Rotoworld
  12. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 4, 2013 -> 09:25 PM) Honestly, I wasn't impressed by Johnson. But he also looked really nervous there. I actually liked Webb out there more. He had some great movement on his slider, and was throwing 97. First start in New York, I will give him a pass for tonight and his next start should be alot better.
  13. QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 4, 2013 -> 09:01 PM) Worst road team I can ever remember. 0-10 road trip would be fitting. Sure would.
  14. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Sep 4, 2013 -> 08:49 PM) The last 2 games I'm getting sick of Rivera getting those calls. BS Always has got every borderline call.
  15. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,3618135.story Bears pick up 2 mil cap room.
  16. Cubs got Daniel Bard off waivers and Theo waive his other Red Sox project Michael Bowden today.
  17. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 4, 2013 -> 12:26 AM) Dumb Dumber Dumberer He had one terrific and unexpected season, one dismally bad season. You say he doesn't care, wtf is he supposed to do, get kicked out of every game? McEwing told Lexi to make sure a line drive goes through yet he STILL got doubled off 3rd. That's the coach's fault?? Give him one more season. If they blow then you know. Dumbest
  18. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Sep 1, 2013 -> 10:42 AM) HUGE get for us. Top 40 out of state recruit, and beat out some big schools for him. Nice to see Groce get him.
  19. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 3, 2013 -> 10:47 PM) Good item, but after a month or two at home in the offseason, his wife (I presume he's married) will say, 'Honey we need to talk. You can certainly hang in there one more year for that 15 million; then we can talk about it again after next season, right?" I agree 90% he will be back just putting what I saw out there.
  20. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 3, 2013 -> 10:14 PM) First of all, who the hell is going to take Dunn off the Sox hands at that salary? Hawk knows better than that. Nobody will want Dunn. I would hope we all agree on that. Secondly, I know Alexei and DeAza probably piss off Robin for their many botched plays. Understandable, but I will say, good luck to the Sox replacing them. Our lineup has the potential to be one of the worst in baseball history if the Sox don't get somebody to hit in those two spots. Say what you want about them being mental midgets, Alexei and DeAza at least get multi-hit games once in a while. Paulie, yeah he's probably gone. But again, if we don't get Abreu (sp?) our lineup really really really could be weak. Paulie is going to start for somebody next year. So he still is a big-leaguer. Wow, does Hahn have work to do if Hawk is right. We might truly have a 110-loss team if all those guys are leaving. It's not like we have bats to replace them. Let's hope their replacements are more like Garcia and less like Keppindisaster. Adam Dunn told FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal Tuesday that he could retire after the season. Dunn is just 33, is guaranteed $15 million next season and is within shouting distance of 500 homers, but he indicated that a lack of enjoyment for the game could lead him to walking away. "I’m not coming back just to come back for money or because I have one year left (on his contract)," Dunn said. "I’m not coming back to chase home-run numbers or whatever. If I end up with 499 and I’m not having fun, see ya — 499 it is." It's certainly something to file away, but it's hard to see Dunn giving up a guaranteed $15 million. Per Rotoworld
  21. Bears released OT Jonathan Scott and re-signed TE Kyle Adams. Scott beat out J'Marcus Webb for No. 4 tackle duties in Chicago, but his stay on the roster doesn't last long. It's possible the Bears are just cutting him ahead of Sunday's game to protect themselves from having to guarantee Scott's 2013 salary. Adams was waived by the Bears on Monday. Per Rotoworld
  22. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Sep 3, 2013 -> 09:16 PM) Robin looks PISSED. He needs to look in the mirror he has been amateur hour all year.
  23. 1-2-3 Sox go out with a whimper. Yanks win 6-4
