I have a cousin that is turning 18 in a few days and I can't think of any good ideas for a present. I don't really want to get a gift card but if I can't think of a good present I'll go with a gift card or a gag gift of some sort. Unfortunately I don't know my cousin very well because I haven't had much interest in getting to know her until recently. I think getting her a present would help show her that I want to improve our cousin relation. That's why I want to get a present somewhat special. Since I can't think of any ideas I thought I'd ask my fellow soxtalk friends for some input.

I think it's too early to vote for W Bush or Obama, but I knew W Bush wouldn't get any votes, so I voted for him. As a Republican, I didn't mind Clinton at all so props to him.

Being over 90% Scandinavian, I would like the Minnesota Vikings to change their name. It gives us Scandinavian descendants a bad wrap. People picture us as being fat and hairy just like the Vikings fans who dress up at the game. Even though I'm mostly Scandinavian, I have a small portion of Native American in me (1/32). I want to do more research on this topic. I'm sure some people here know a lot, it is a very interesting topic. We don't see Yankees or Rangers or Cowboys or Steelers or Packers getting upset, but then again those are also American people or industries and people take those names with American pride whereas the Native Americans don't feel the same why and won't take their name use with pride. As a Chiefs fan, they could probably keep their name, there are Police Chiefs and Fire Chiefs just to name a few. But the logo name Arrowhead Stadium might have to go.

Something "big" is supposed to come out tomorrow involving ACORN. That's what some people on Hannity said tonight. We'll see if and what tomorrow.

I love the lateral plays at the end of the game.
