  1. QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 26, 2009 -> 12:55 PM) Not that if he stayed over .300 that I'd hate it or anything. I think everyone would take Anderson batting .300 unless he stole someone's girlfriend or something.
  2. QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 26, 2009 -> 12:51 PM) If he keeps making contact and stays comfortable up there, he'll start hitting more line drives and hitting the gaps. He's done it before, he just never could put it all together. True, it's asking an AWFUL lot to stay around .320, heck I'd be pumped if he hit .300 and I'd take .270. I'm not one of the die hard Anderson supporters, I just want whoever's playing the best to be out there and right now Anderson is the best.
  3. When the Sox were playing the Twins on Fox two weekends ago it was funny watching Southpaw move around behind the plate when Liriano was pitching. I don't know if it affected Liriano, but that was the inning he kept walking people.
  4. I don't post often here, but I probably read it more than I read any other part of soxtalk. It is nice to see the other views, normally they don't change mine, but it's still good to read. I'm not surprised that currently 75% of people think posters go over the line too often. It goes on both sides where people go too far at times. I'd like to see people be more respectful of others views. Too many people think their view is the only view that should be noted.
  5. QUOTE (T R U @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 04:19 PM) I voted for 10 because that was the highest option or else I would have picked 15-20 until they both retire This is a REALISTIC poll, and I will only give a realistic answer.. they would also go 82-0 every year as well, since were sticking with realism here. lol I like the way you think.
  6. It'll be just over 3 and a half hours for the first round.
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 02:58 PM) We could arrange it so that every time VDN spoke or did anything someone from the 20 rows behind him will throw his or her beverage on to him and a chorus of "Sit down!" will rise up from that group. that may work as well.
  8. QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 02:45 PM) It's not a matter of wanting to. It's a matter of being able to do it. yeah that's true, and I realize this is just for fun. but it woulnd't take other teams 10 years to be able to put comparable people on their roster. and do you think Vinny Del Negro would be able to coach the team?
  9. QUOTE (rangercal @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 02:05 PM) hy⋅po⋅thet⋅i⋅cal    /ˌhaɪpəˈθɛtɪkəl/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [hahy-puh-thet-i-kuhl] –adjective 1. assumed by hypothesis; supposed: a hypothetical case. Yeah but it's not realistic. And come on people, so far 8 people think 10 championships if this were to happen? Are you kidding me? If LeBron was on the team they'd win at least a championship, how many I don't know, but other teams would start doing the same thing and you'd see for example Kobe, Chris Paul, Dwight Howard etc. being with the Lakers.
  10. QUOTE (rangercal @ Apr 24, 2009 -> 10:28 PM) this poll is only for people who are realistic. 0 is not an option for obvious reasons. And putting LeBron James on the Bulls right now is realistic?
  11. QUOTE (ozzfest @ Apr 24, 2009 -> 06:42 PM) I think they should change their alternates that's it. The black jersey is by far my favorite. I wouldn't mind seeing an alternate hat with the stocking logo.
  12. Jose will have half of the team's losses, not good....
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 18, 2009 -> 06:19 PM) Miguel Ascensio thanks. I'll never forgot watching that. I felt so bad for him.
  14. Who was that Royals pitcher that threw 16 balls in a row? I know Hawk was talking about him but I didn't get his name.
  15. Most of these jerseys are funny. I know some of my friends used to buy jerseys of players with the same last name or someone who had their first name.
