  1. How about the Rockets so far today? Without Yao they could've decided it was over but up by 20 with under 8 to go. I'm impressed.
  2. I swear Brandon Morrow is the Twins 26th man, he can never get the last out. 3 in a row on with 2 outs.
  3. Send all convicts to the Oklahoma Panhandle. Create a type of goverment which has 5 presidents. It might be more of a parliament, but there'd be regional presidents from the Northwest, Northeast, Southwest, Southeast, and a Wild Card. The Wild Card would be an at-large president, but we'd keep it as Wild Card because I like the name better. Change the name of the month of June to my name, add a day to my month to make 31 days, and take another day away from February. Send the Statue of Liberty back to France, and build a bigger statue of me instead. Make Labor Day every first Monday of the month. Contract the Twins and Cubs. (haha I probably wouldn't do that but it'd be fun.) Bring the Brewers back to the American League.
  4. That's some impressive info, and I am being serious. I know the Chiefs are switching to the 3-4 defense this year, so hopefully they have better results, but it's almost impossible not to have better results. I still have doubts with Green Bay being able to compete with Minnesota and Chicago, but you never know. Should be an interesting division to watch.
  5. QUOTE (knightni @ May 10, 2009 -> 07:42 AM) True. But this is hypothetically, not realistically. lol
  6. QUOTE (rangercal @ May 9, 2009 -> 09:05 PM) Yeah , lets just ignore the fact that the Bears,Lions and Packers have all improved in the off-season. Hopefully the Bears improved their 30th ranked passing defense from last year, even if it's just getting players healthy again, otherwise Favre could have some fun throwing the ball if he signs with the Vikes. I don't follow the Bears so I don't know who else they've gotten besides Cutler and Pace. How have the Packers improved?
  7. QUOTE (DBAHO @ May 9, 2009 -> 09:44 PM) So looks like Mark Cuban will be gettin another big fine eh. Yao done for the post-season also with another fracture in his foot. Yeah the end of the Nuggets/Mavs game was interesting to say the least. Cuban will get a fine for pushing the camera man. Josh Howard might get a fine also.
  8. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ May 9, 2009 -> 02:29 AM) Favre to the Viqueens makes sense, they already have the best RB in the NFL,he's a huge upgrade at QB no matter that his best days are behind him,he doesn't need to be spectacular,he just needs to be a capable... he'll make the Viqueens the team to beat in the North. If Gus Frerotte and Tavaris Jackson can manage the Vikings to a division title, Favre should be able to as long as he makes good decisions. But even if Favre leads the Vikings to the playoffs, a lot of fans will consider the year a failure if they don't win a Super Bowl. Most fans I've heard around here are already thinking Super Bowl, which is laughable as of now.
  9. QUOTE (rangercal @ May 9, 2009 -> 10:57 AM) how about Favre breaking down at the end like he did in the previous few seasons? I hope the queens sign favre. I hope the Vikings sign Favre as well, that way I get to see him play next year.
  10. QUOTE (SoxFan101 @ May 9, 2009 -> 02:23 AM) Really, throw Jordan with the Raptors and I consider them the favorite to win it all. Your right about the Kings, but than again the Bulls were a pretty pathetic team when they drafted Jordan as well. Even with the Kings, Kevin Martin is better than anyone on the bulls when they got Jordan. They'd have to keep Bosh and/or Marion, but I picked to random teams that weren't very good this year. I could've picked the Clippers or Grizzlies, whoever. I wouldn't be picky with either Jordan or LeBron, it'd be great to have either one on your team. What I respect most about Jordan was the way he was able to include the other 4 players on the court and improve their performance.
  11. QUOTE (rangercal @ May 8, 2009 -> 10:10 PM) Is that really the best ammo you have in Diminishing Jordan? Pathetic. How am I diminishing Jordan's talents? I couldn't see him winning 6 championships for the Sacremento Kings or the Toronto Raptors, teams like that. It's my opinion and we'll never know what it would turn out because it's not going to happen, that's why it's fun to have a decent discussion. There's no need to accuse me of "diminishing Jordan" and saying I'm pathetic. I said earlier that I don't like Jordan, but in high school I wrote a paper on how I thought he was the greatest basketball player of all time and had the most impact in the sport next to Wilt Chamberlain. I have no reason to try to diminish Jordan.
  12. I don't like Jordan one bit, but even I'd take him over LeBron. Jordan had a killer instinct, not saying LeBron doesn't, but there are few athletes ever that probably had it as good or better than Jordan. This question can be taken many ways. Are we going with Jordan's accomplishments and LeBron's upside? I would take accomplishments over upside for my player any day. Although I highly doubt that Jordan would win 6 championships in his career if he was drafted next season. I'm not saying he wouldn't win any, but 6 would be hard to accomplish. As far LeBron, we don't know if his body will break down by the time he's 30 or whatever age. It probably won't happen, but it's hard to say because he could suffer an injury or something.
  13. I was shocked to hear this. Manny what are you doing? Your rookie cards that I own are going to take a hit. In all seriousness, this is another blow to baseball, the question is, what big name is next?
  14. I can't believe I'm actually siding with Ron Artest. I had no problem with him going up to Bryant. A technical foul was alright but I didn't agree with an ejection.
  15. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 4, 2009 -> 08:05 PM) Brent Lillibridge, .186 career MLB average, 550 OPS Andy Gonzalez, .188 career MLB average, 549 OPS lol that's pretty bad when you're compared to Andy Gonzalez.
  16. Oh come on, we're 12-12. If we finish 12-150, then yeah we're the worst ever. But I hate seeing Ozzie's Sunday lineup too.
  17. I went with Griffey only because of the play in game throw. Obviously that shouldn't be the only reason to pick someone, but that list is terrible.
  18. might as well let them keep hitting and hope the rain happens soon.
  19. QUOTE (rangercal @ May 1, 2009 -> 10:41 AM) Best playoff series of all time? Ranks up there. But not #1 because it is the first round. Best first round series of all time? This just leapfrogged Sea-Den and GSW-Dal in my book. So I would say yes. It'd be a toss up with #8 New York topping #1 Miami a few years ago, but that was only when the first around was 5 games, so I would go with this series as the best one I can remember.
