QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Sep 6, 2008 -> 04:07 PM) No one is coming to help, unless they are a free agent right now. Barry Bonds is going to sign on Monday.

That was a dumb pitch, but luckily it was at the 2nd basemen. Whew that was close.

The Tigers are up by two but I don't feel very comfortable with Rodney out there.

QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 09:27 PM) First pitch pop up for the second straight AB. I still can't believe that Rios ball wasn't out by 50 feet. Me neither, that ball was crushed. I have never seen a ball hit like that with that much speed off the bat stay in play.

QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 09:26 PM) what did overbay do Pop to right on the first pitch.

Horrendous, pathetic, any other Bill Walton diss would work right now.

Strikeout, would've been a close call, but it probably would've been called ball 4. Let's go Overbay, Nathan is in the 40's for pitches.

QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 09:21 PM) Serious? I missed that. it just looked like it from the angle, and the Twins announcers thought the same thing as well, but it didn't hit it.

QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 09:17 PM) Replays show that it looks like the ball hit a camera and came back into play. Where's the instant replay???? ok they showed it again and no it didn't hit it.

Triple for Rios. So close to a homer, but almost caught as well. 1 out, let's go Vernan Wells!

What a play by Scott Rolen. He might have lost the bat, but not the glove.
-
Twins Watch Thread 2008
sac bunt, now the Twins get 2 chances to do what they do best at, driving in runners in scoring position. maybe they'll make it interesting and do it on 2 outs again since all of their runs have come that way.

Lead off man aboard for the Twins.

Twins Watch Thread 2008
dang a strike out, but at least the Jays still have a shot.
-
Twins Watch Thread 2008
Lately Nathan hasn't been throwing pitches in the strike zone, and the ones he does players can get hits on. It's the players that chase the balls out of the zone that make him very effective.

Cmon McDonald, base hit please.

QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 08:57 PM) That was an easy catch...too bad he wasn't guarding the line. Rolen had 6 good fastballs to hit. Hey! are you listening to FSN NORTH it was a great catch. YES ERROR TIE GAME

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 08:49 PM) Wild pitch then an infield single by Brendan Harris gives them the lead. what a joke More of a joke is this umpire not wanting to call a strike 3. I've seen 3 this game against the Twins, finally 1 came back to bite the Jays.
